Personally, I think Fitz will make it, but I also know Fitz has HOF accountants, he will be fine.
That's hilarious coming from a guy who gets his panties in a wad anytime someone says something good about John Skelton and immediately posts an exaggerated statement about how BAD Skelton is.
You don't care if the Cards win or lose that's fine. But I'm not buying your pollyanna baby girl everything is rosy nonsense. And if you don't like it tough s***.
I focused on one player who obviously is not good.. Instead of the world is crashing and the whole thing sucks, waking up ready to bash every aspect of this organization and taking glee in it..
I know this isn't going to make many friends on this board, but let's keep Larry Fitzgerald's career in perspective:
6x Pro Bowler (good)
1 First-team All-pro (not HOF-worthy)
35th all time in receptions and receiving yards
24th all time in receiving TDs
6th in receiving yards per game (HOF-worthy)
57th in touchdowns
Keep in mind that Larry's going to have to keep producing at a very high level for some time, because his numbers aren't going to look that great in context as the game continues to evolve around and after him.
No single season in Larry's career has ranked in the top 45 of all-time single receiving seasons. Same with TDs.
If you believe that your reading comprehension leaves much to be desired. Maybe instead of reading this board you should stick to See spot run or the Pokey Little Puppy.
Sorry on Devin Hester. I meant Percy Harvin. Late at night and typing on an iPhone.
Lets see Fitz "dominate for 5 years."
Your dismissive attitude of the better and more productive WRs in the NFL doesn't change the fact that there are a LOT of good, productive receivers in the NFL. The first thing that voters are going to look at is production and numbers. As good and talented a guy as Fitz is, he hasn't won anything, and he's not been consistently productive in a league where receivers are putting up record-breaking numbers every year.
But, your "are not" comments ARE (not) very persuasive. Whether or not Brandon Marshall or Dez Bryant are headcases is irrelevant to the question of whether or not they're better/more productive than Fitz right now.
The question is would you take any of those players on your team over fitz? I would not take one of those players over fitz, save Calvin Johnson.
the list of receivers better than Fitz is really funny. Maclin? Cruz? lol have you watched football?
I'd take almost all of them except Calvin Johnson. Thomas, Jones, Harvin, Green, Bryant, Nicks, Nelson, Jason, and Maclin definitely.
Maclin is a stud. Are you sure you've watched football.
Meanwhile, Larry Fitzgerald has 11 more yards and one fewer TD than Andre Roberts. Top 10 WR and future hall of famer, indeed.
are you just willfully ignoring the fact that he's playing with what could possibly be the worst collection of QBs of all time?
what? am I missing something here or are you saying you'd take Maclin, Thomas, Nicks and Nelson over Fitz? I have to be missing something here.
and... you WOULDN'T take Calvin Johnson over Fitz? i'm so freaking confused rght now.
are you just willfully ignoring the fact that he's playing with what could possibly be the worst collection of QBs of all time?
