In a van...down by the river.
Watching the replay on ESPN right now. Great game.
Hawks are coming into their own it appears. Even if they get eliminated in game 7 , they've got something to build on next year.

The Hawks are really good. They would be even better if they had a post presence. Someone like Boris Diaw would be a good fit. Hopefully they try to address that in the off-season.

Par for the course on 90% of 7+ footers.

I think for the Suns desperation for a title, Oden had better be all hype, because that Portland team looks deadly next season. I had them penciled in the playoffs this season even w/o him, but I didnt know the west was gonna be this competitive.

Yeah, no kidding. The hawks are stacked, they just need a young PG to be a contender for years. JJ is playing very well against the top defense in the NBA.

Are the Hawks locked into the 15th pick? I don't remember if the pick changes depending on how far they go in the playoffs.

I found myself rooting for them last night.

It's depressing to think the Hawks can force the team with the best record in the NBA to 7 games but yet we could only muster 1 win against the Spurs.

I caught the 2nd half of that game - the Hawks are a very entertaining team. They look much better now with Bibby running the show. IIRC, they got JJ to be a point guard but that didn't work out too well.

I like Josh Childress' play (but not his hair).

Well, they are a young run-n-gun team who will give a slower methodical team problems (gee, sound familiar? :) )

They are locked to the 15th pick.

Its based on the regular season record.

williams might not play. he hurt his knee in the 4th. it might come down to a game-time decision.

i hate it when injuries occur during the playoffs, it seems tainted when that happens.

Oden = Bust.

Portland = Still sucks.

Me= Biased :)

I hate Portland.
although injured & he didnt play a single nba game, you're calling him a bust already?

if injured permanently, maybe so. give him a chance to prove himself.

IF someone would have told me at the beginning of the season that Atlanta would win 2 more playoff games than the Suns this season, I would have backhanded them. Cant believe how wrong I am

Oh, I'm not calling him a bust cause he got hurt.

My gut feeling is that he'll play all year next season, and he just won't be that good. I might be wrong, it's a pure guess, just my gut says he won't be that great.

Just out of curiosity, because Oden did not play a single game this year, is he eligible for ROY next season?

I would assume so. David Robinson had to spend two years finishing his service to the Naval Academy after he was drafted, so he didn't start playing until his "third" year, but still won Rookie of the Year that season.

I wonder if the Suns would have done as good in a first round matchup with the Celtics? My guess would be not. And If so, why would that be? D?!
