Well why should he? It is a business after all. Keim was the dope who gave him the contract. 99.9% of these players hold no allegiance to any team...it's all about the benjamins to them. Keim tried to be nice in a cut-throat business and got burned...he only has himself to blame.

There is more to the making of a contract than just SK. He is just the one who takes all the blame. The is SK, MB, and Disner. Those three for sure signed off on the bad contract.

People on here believed in the AP trade.

They believe Sam Bradford is a good option.

They believe we can solve the future QB situation with the 15th pick in the draft.

They believe we can improve our offensive line without adding players.

Read the board. People are buying it.

And you believe you're a GM in the NFL. You speak in absolutes, like it a done deal. If your that good a predicting the future I might suggest you stop focusing on football and spend more time on the lottery numbers. I mean to me it's the easy to say what you're saying, so instead of complaining about it give us your solutions.

I agree to the cut, he’s not a CB, not a safety, not really a free safety, but demands 21m over the next two for a nickelback?

I was thinking 8-9m per year tops.

Even the legion of boom is dismantled
That and he was never the same after the surgeries. He spent most of the time running after receivers he couldn't cover anymore. I love the guy but bottom line is he did not play up to his contract as so, per his contract, he was cut. I would have paid him this year (there was so much dead money anyway) but if we didn't cut him we were on the hook for a huge amount next year (the amount escapes me at this moment). Some team will overpay him, like we did and well, we shall see how that goes. Thanks for giving it your all here and overcoming your issues. Maybe he will pull a Dansby.

There are 3 types or people: Glass half full, glass half empty and realists. I fall in the latter. This is a message board. You can say anything and everything and nothing comes of it. If someone throws enough crap on the wall some of it is bound to stick. Then they pull up their old post (the one they were right on) and say "I predicted this". It's actually quite entertaining. Oak has the right idea.

Chalk him up in Arizona What Could Of Hall Of Fame alongside Amare.

Freaking knee injuries!

Miss ya HB... hope you go on to do great things... just never against us.

Thanks HB for the memories. You're a tough kid. Can't justify $20 Mill for a nickel corner though.

That's on Keim for giving it to him in the first place. Record contract for someone on their second ACL injury is worthy of being fired for alone.

It seems Keim and MB wanted to reward him and hoped he would be his old self. He wasn't, and the way the contract was drawn up, they had to cut him. He is rewarded if he is great again, but cut if he is not and refuses to rework the deal. Sounds like business as usual.

If you say so. I'll just agree to disagree.

IIRC, HB wasn't even in a contract year when they gave him that huge extension. They could have waited other year and then even put the franchise tag on him the next year. Still would have saved the Cards money down the road.

Keim has made some decisions that shouldn't work out and did, but he has made some major gaffes too. This contract was one of them.

That about says it all.

Could be from a player that is bitter, or a player that sees the same thing a lot of fans of this team have seen for 5 or 6 decades.....

It is all about perspective.

You know we are the ones who gave him his chance in the NFL? And this is his response? I am not fine with that, sorry. He is a shell of himself.

Maybe the Cardinals should have been loyal and honored the contract they signed instead of cutting him. Come on man, it's never that simple.

But the contract did allow them to cut him and save the $. That's why the Cards drew it up that way. If he had performed as they hoped, he had this fantastic contract. If not, he could be cut and save the team $. It was a business decision, and a good one in my opinion. I'm not dissing HB, I love the guy, but given the circumstances the Cards did the right thing. Some other team will probably overpay him and he will get the $ there. It's all business.

This is not a slam at the Cards. He is simply stating type of team he wants to go to...sounds like Steelers to me.

kinda agree. It's not like he's leaving a team that didn't just hire a defensive football coach from one of the best D's in the league.

or maybe he's being a douche.

if the jets were going to give me 10 mil a year i'd be the biggest jets fan in the world.

even though i'm sad he's no longer on my favorite team, i don't blame him for chasing the money.

go get 'em Ty

Whatever, but he has made more money from the Cards than he would have anywhere else. Cards were loyal to him, but not to a fault.

This offseason was the year the two parties agreed on would be the time to decide whether or not he was worth a guaranteed contract. Had Badger played at an all-pro level, this is not a topic for discussion. But his production dropped precipitously since 2015 and frankly wasn't worth the dollar amount on his contract anymore. If the renegotiated $9 million number is true, that's still overpaying for him, IMO, but fine with me to keep him on the team.

It sucks, but it's business.
