Not when you consider the guy has had injury problem and got relegated to the bench last season.

If worse came to worse - if Henry put up HUGE stats and was worthy of a HUGE contract, we had the franchise tag to keep him around. For once - I actually think the Cards got it right on that one. Henry at this point doesn't deserve a HUGE extension - if he was coming off two years ago - in a heartbeat, but this is a "what have you done for me lately" league and lately Henry hasn't done squat. It's a big year for RBs - no need to panic.

There is no way the Cards would not want to have a long term deal in place if they traded for Henry. Shelton is a starting LT for the team that gets him with I think 3 years left on a very inexpensive deal. You would never trade that type of guy for one year with any player. Odds go against you.I would not want us to trade anyone for a 1 year player. Take a pick at least when he signs it will be 3-5 year deal.

How many players did we want in the last two years in FA that didn't amke it with the team that got him for big bucks or was injured never to play or plays very little. QB a side anyone over 33-35 is not a hit and miss is certainly a miss. Keep LS or get picks.

You're all hung up on missing out on Henry and missing the mark.

This whole thing was meant to pull LJ into the fold as much as getting talent in trade for him. Either way we win. LJ comes to the team ready to play or we trade him for someone we really need.

How much better does that sound than just shipping players off to get rid of them?
