According to Mike Jureki..albeit not the most credible source to some, the Cardinals have expressed some pretty strong interest in soon to be released Derek Anderson. He has good size and a pretty solid arm. Under Whisenhunt's direction and teaching, maybe he'll realize his potential here better than he could in Cleveland?

Yea because Holmgren has no idea how to recognize and develop QB talent.

I'm not saying anything against Holmgren. But being that he just became part of their staff, he has had nothing to do with Anderson's development.

Just saying that if the Brown's indeed do release Derek Anderson, I do believe that Whis and his staff can do a far better job with Anderson than Cleveland's previous staff did.

I understand what you're saying, but Anderson's being released for the same reason that Rolle's being release: A roster bonus that the Browns don't want to pay.

I think that Holmgren is going to start from scratch at the QB position in Cleveland this season. Mike Lombardi said that Brady Quinn probably won't be on the roster at the start of next season there.

David Carr: 'It's 49ers' to lose'

The David Carr-to-the-49ers sentiment is gaining a lot of momentum as free-agency hits the 12-hour mark.

A league source says, "It's the 49ers' to lose."
UPDATE: Carr is scheduled to visit the 49ers this evening and Saturday, reports Cardinals beat man

He showed the same problems with Carolina and New york, even with better blockers. The guy is shell shocked and will never be much in the NFL. Below average backup IMHO. I live in Fresno and this isn't the same guy the Texans drafted #1.

IIRC after Carr, Matt Schaub came in and they were respectable on offense. Ergo, Carr must not be very good.
