He had a down year because nobody could get him the ball.
He also had an ankle injury against Cleveland on 12/12/2010 and missed the rest of the season (3 games).

Yep, not going to fall for the banana in the tailpipe.i ain't believing Jureki ever again. would be a nice addition to the WR core though. he's not great, but his speed could open up the field.
Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 Phoenix reports the Cardinals are "showing interest" in Bills WR Lee Evans.
The National Football Post recently speculated that Evans could be made available due to Buffalo's new-found depth at receiver. It's no surprise that Arizona would be interested, as they flirted with the idea of signing vertical threats Malcom Floyd and Braylon Edwards. If the Bills are open to dealing Evans, the Ravens also make sense as a potential dance partner.
What a surprise... first sportznutt reports the NFP story and now Roto's got a story on it.
Well played rotonutt. I've got my eye on you...

Lee Evans makes sense as a deep threat IMO. Offer a 5th rounder Rod. Also, wouldn't the Bills have already paid the roster bonus?
Totally_Red: The Bills will want more than a 5th for Evans---I think they might be hoping for a 2nd and would probably settle for a 3rd.
The roster bonus is paid if and when Evans makes the roster in early September. And I misunderstood what the bonus is---it's a $3M combined for 2011-2012, not $3M per.
This still makes his salary over $5M---and with other speed options such as Brad Smith on their roster, the Bills may want to use that money elsewhere.
The Baltimore Sun suspects that the Ravens would only consider adding Lee Evans if he were released by the Bills.
It's true that the Ravens are strapped against the cap, and Evans has $3.275 million base salaries in 2011 and 2012. Teams can always make adjustments to clear cap room, but the Ravens won't if they don't believe Evans would be a clear upgrade. And if they wouldn't be willing to make those adjustments plus surrender a late-round pick, Evans probably isn't headed to Baltimore.
lol a second or third for Evans? did the bills not watch the WR market dry up to the point that Edwards took a measly 1 year incentive deal and Floyd when crawling back home to SD?
I guess we'll know soon.AdamSchefter Adam Schefter
Buffalo is now open to trading WR Lee Evans and some believe the Bills former 1st-rd pick is expected to be dealt within the next 48 hours.
Could be another piece to the puzzle to get Fitz to like this offseason even more. Evans and Fitz are apparently pretty decent friends going back to their days moving around the same circles when they were both 1st round WR prospects in the same draft.

I think he's every bit worth a 4th rounder

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Bills are close to trading Lee Evans to an undisclosed team.
Appearing on NFL Countdown Thursday night, Schefter confirmed that the Bills have indeed decided to move on from their 30-year-old deep threat, probably in exchange for a late-round pick. "It looks like a trade could be consummated within the next 48 hours," Schefter reported. The Cardinals are known to have interest in Evans, and the Ravens would be silly not to look.
Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic believes the Cardinals will only deal for Lee Evans "if the price is right."
It's the same attitude they took with Braylon Edwards and Malcom Floyd. The coaches want to get a long look at Andre Roberts and Early Doucet, so they won't be in a hurry to pull the trigger. Somers suspects GM Rod Graves won't part with more than a fifth-round pick for Evans.
