No way Whis, if he wants to remain credible, can let Hightower continue as starter. Edge was benched for less last year and Hightower's got fumbilitis in his head now.

Stop dicking around with the Wells isn't starter game-playing and just make the move. The time is now. If both of them are going to be fumble risks, there's no reason not to start the much more explosive Wells.

Put Hightower back in the situational/relief role where he belongs.

JESUS GOD ALMIGHTY, HE IS TRYING TO SINGLE-HANDEDLY DESTROY GAMES ON NATIONAL TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH~!

Edit: I've calmed down a bit. I love ya, Timmy, but you are DESTROYING this team. Sit the pine and don't even think of moving off it. You're out.

I just can't live with a mistake within our own 10 yard line, you just can't do that.

Hightower is 2nd in the league in Fumnbles this year to only Peterson..

The only difference?

Perterson has 269 carries Hightower: 119

wooow.... He needs to not be in the game the rest of night

Hightower fumbling a problem? Yup.
Whis losing credibility? Not with anyone that matters.

Well, I matter to me and IMO, Whis would be a hypocrite if he didn't bench Hightower after yet another fumble. Not cut, not necessarily permanently but no way Hightower deserves different treatment than what Edge got.

Absolutely he should NOT be the starter shouldn't have been the last few weeks really. Wells should start from here on out and TH should get 0 carries the rest of the night to drive the point home if your gonna put it on the turf your gonna sit!

You guys are all full of it. Sorry but wells has more fumbles than Hightower he has just been insanely lucky that they werent recovered by the D like Timmy's. So if you wanna bench him for pure running ability fine. But to say it's cus of fumbles you are all hypocrites!

I know I know you guys are gonna come back and say Beanie doesn't have more fumbles based on the stats. Well luckily for beanie neither of his dropped pitch passes were logged as fumbles even though they are. Also had another fumble that wasn't logged as well.

Well has 3 fumbles and one lost and Hightower 4 and 3 lost...so no Wells doesn't have more fumbles.

It's not the fumble its where he fumbled thats the killer. I don't think (like others) that Hightower should never see the field again but I do think he needs to sit awhile just as an example for not being more careful with the ball.

Shane: 2 straight games, 2 straight gut-punching turnovers early in the game. He sat and didn't get another carry for quite a while (or has he had one yet since then?). You don't just bench him period, and you don't go crazy in the next week benching him, but you sit him on that bench when it happens, and you don't hand him the ball again for a loooong while, because we have a viable 2nd RB.

Way to ignore 2nd para? Also lost is irrelevant to me. That's sheer luck. Beanies been lucky. Hightower hasen't.

I didn't ignore it; it just isn't relevent right now. Hightower has lost 2 bad fumbles early in 2 straight games. Beanie Wells has NOTHING to do with that.

Your a hypocrite. Beanie lost not one but two pitch passes directly in his hands two games in a row and IIRC he fumbled two games in a row earlier this year. Were you crying on the board for him to be benched?

I was not at that time screaming for him to stay on the field. Oh sure, I wanted to try to get Beanie in there early, but when he fumbled, I groaned and made no protest to sitting him for a spell. But let's not pretend like Hightower's lost fumbles haven't been crippling in comparison.

Bottom line: two games, two early turnovers, 100% Timmy's fault.

Absolutely agree. But saying he should be benched is silly and hypocritical when the player behind him is just as bad or worse as him.

As much as you don't want to acknowledge the fact, Beanie hasn't turned it over lately and Hightower has. You absolutely sit Hightower after that fumble because you have Beanie to tote the rock.

Whis agrees with me. Hightower hasn't had a single carry since then. Beanie has done pretty darn well. I think Hightower will most certainly get the point that Whis is communicating by this. Do you think Whis was wrong to do this?

Oh, btw, I don't mean don't let him on the field. Hightower is a valuable asset in pass pro.
