Back to Grant Hill. Isn't encouraging him to become a 3-point shooter just as ineffective as what Shawn Marion's role has turned into?

A Small Forward, playing Power Forward, camped out at the 3-point line?

Why not just play four Guards (five each time Amare fouls out)?

The 04-05 STAT was quicker and more aggressive on his own, but I think we started to see more of that guy in the playoffs.

I hope (and think) that more of the explosiveness and quickness will be back next year, as the more time Amare has to recover from the surgery the better he will be.

if you watch old highlights of him against duncan, he was able to get his shot off over duncan when duncan had his arms straight up.

If you watch him now, he gets blocked by duncan when attacking straight up. I heard Amare say in an interview towards the end of the season that he still had 4 inches left to gain on his vertical and obviously it shows.

Yeah but that lack of 4 inches also forced him to get better in other areas which I wouldn't trade right now. I would love him to get his old vertical back but even if he doesn't, I still say he is a better all around player.
