It's okay.

UofA is a basketball school.

A basketball school with a team that's 6-6.

:D

But isnt ASU considered a football school?

A football school that has two consecutive losing seasons and ended this year with a six game losing streak??

hmmm.....

:D

Does Stoops have to act like a hyper doofus EVERY single game?

I thought this game would be close, because I didn't think Nebraska would score very easily against UofA's defense. I would've guess a point total for both teams in the teens. Obviously, i was wrong.

Now, I'm even questioning if Oregon will actually beat Ohio St.

Looks like the Cats had a little too much fun in San Diego and Cam Nelson said as much after the game. Oh well. It's a meaningless bowl game and hopefully that extra practice will pay off next year.

Nebraska was really coming on as the year progressed and its obvious they were no fluke in the Big 12 title game.

On the bright side it doesn't look like we need to worry about Dykes going to Tech anymore. Not his best day.

You won't find me jumping ship on Sean Miller. Deep down we all knew this transition year was going to be tough. Look at Indiana last year and UNC after Dean Smith. This is what happens when you are bridging one era to another.

And if for some reason Miller isn't the answer? Well Josh Pastner currently has the #1 recruiting class next year for Memphis. So thats a hell of a fall back option.

There's no way UA is that bad. That was all on the coaches. They had no plan to get Foles outside the pocket, roll him out, anything to counter the upfield pressure of the defensive line.

I think ua is who we thought they were. A medicore tezm in a bad year for the PACX, they got dominated in every facet of the game. If Stoopid wasnt just that they could have atleast scored 3 points at the end and not been the first team in the history of the holiday bowl to get shut out. Oh well I love it, I as an ASU fan knew that we sucked this year, the au folks thought they were Rose Bowl worthy. What a joke.

Ouch. An ASU fan called us "au". Good job putting us in our place. You guys thought you were just BOWL worthy, let alone Rose Bowl worthy, and look what happened. Now there's a joke.

No ASU fan should ever comment here because, honestly, they will NEVER be unbiased. Ever.

Dont get your panties in a bunch Charlie, I just stated the obvious. I never once said ASU was bowl worthy. Your post makes no sense. With as bad as we were this year it took a muffed punt for you to beat us. If I went to Down South Harvard I would claim a moral victory, instead I just laugh. Congrats on the Holiday Bowl, might have been a decent game if your team showed up. Were the white helmets the same as a white flag?

You can yuck it up all you want turkey but here are the facts:

- Beat SC at SC
- Beat ASU at Tempe
- Established a QBOF
- Finished 2nd in the Pac - 10 in what many considered the best or at worst second best conference in the nation, even though they all got thumped in bowl games
- Went to a bowl around New Years day

This is despite losing our best player before the season began.

We got beat by a better Nebraska team and played like we were just happy to be there. As a silver lining maybe we won't be so full of ourselves this offseason and work harder. My football teams never seem to handle success all that well.

But this season was a success by the standard of any knowlegable fan of the program and 2010 with the way the schedule breaks down is looking even better.

So like Renz said, spin that anyway you want ASU.

Ugh, c'mon Renz, you're better than this ridiculousness. I love your sample size, and find it particularly hilarious that you're bringing up ASU missing bowl games. I seem to remember another impressive U of A streak that was only recently broken...

My sample size is intentionally small. I'm not like Dallas or 49er fans who want to talk about all the championships they won 20-30 years ago.

Right now, the Cats are the better program. UA has improved steadily the last three seasons while asu has gotten increasingly worse.

You're too much. One mighty Vegas bowl appearance, and a complete embarrassment in the Holiday Bowl doesn't wipe the stink of 10 years of bowl futility away. Keep those blinders on though, the last two years have made U of A look like an average Pac-10 team, throw a ticker tape parade.

Has Wilcat football improved? Of course, the last couple years have been an improvement, but the baseline was pretty low. One or two decent seasons hardly are enough to define a program, as ASU hoops fans can attest.

It's pretty obvious to anyone who follows either program that ASU will usually have the better football program, as U of A with basketball. Let's not act like that's drastically changed just because of what has happened over the last couple years.

This whole argument ultimatly boils down to the ageless theory of: Would you rather be the girl who didn't get invited to the dance, or the Carrie?

Personally I would rather not have gone, than get pigs blood dumped on me in front of everyone...:D

asu football has become the joke, you just won't admit it, and next season will be no different. asu isn't even average under Erickson and he was supposed to be your savior. Erickson will be canned and then you start all over again.

I see where you are coming from. But at least the football program got a few million just for "showing up"; however, I'm still trying to convince myself that they were actually there :D
