its just one of those heat-of-the-moment things. i mean we're just human, we show emotion and passion for things in life. who doesn't cheer or scream when a fantastic play has been made? who wouldn't show emotion if one their comrads falls or is injured. i mean, these are the playoffs.

Spurs fans do now visit our board as much as Mav fans; but when they do they never acknowledge that the Spurs foul a lot. They were in denial about the Bowen kick and other forms of dirty play, so why should we be surprised when an obvious example of a guy trying to seriously hurt an opponent's star would get no comment?

If the Suns are at full strength, the Spurs may not be able to beat them in Phoenix. Sportsmanship be damned.

You are wrong, my friend. If you go to one of the most popular boards, Spurstalk.com, they are crucifying Horry right now and hoping that Boris and Amare are not suspended. (not because we like them, but because we want a fair win). With your full team we may not be able to beat you, but there's a good chance we will. It's not like we haven't beaten you before in your own house and the Spurs has an excellent road record.

One of the scary aspects of this process is that it might encourage teams to bring back the thugs.

Look at this scenerio. You're losing, so why not send in your 12th man to beat the crap out of a key member of the other team - and do it right in front of the opponent's bench. What do have to lose? A guy you won't play anyway and you have a great chance to get opponent's guys in trouble. I'd almost like to see somebody do this, just to force the league to change the rule.

One note: For a brief moment they showed the SA bench when cutting to the Raja/Horry jawing.

Not one SA player was even standing up. How does this happen? Pop should sit Horry for the series as a display of his distaste for that type of behavior on his team. Did Pop tell his bench what was coming? I'm hoping Pop doesn't want to blast his player through the media and pefers to speak with him in person. My gut tells me this was a planned event as evidenced by the SA bench not making a move and Pop's post game comments.

At one point I had a lot of respect for Horry.

No longer, he is scum and deserves to be tossed for the rest of the series.

Nash, on the other hand is the class of the NBA. Proof being in his interview at the end of the game.

What Horry did was sick...and not classy at all.

I don't think that was an indication of Horry's character. I think it was a frustrated guy who over reacted and did something stupid in the heat of the moment.

I have been around Horry in social situations many times and he is always gracious and always a gentleman. I can't say the same thing about Tony Parker...who is pretty arrogant and rude (Duh...he is French!).

I am not making excuses for Horry...I am just saying that a man shouldn't be judged by one incident in his life or in his career...or we might all be considered differently.

If there is a suspension they really should send Burke in just to knock Tim Duncan's head off right in front of the San Antonio bench in the next game. That's the thug mentality they would be perpetuating, and that they board he allowed with the officiating so far in this series.

I don't think Horry is considered to be a thug. Bowen and Ginobli...yes they are getting a bad reputation.

Horry is known for big shots...and championships. Hard fouls maybe but I can't remember anything like the hit on Nash.

On August 19, 1996, Horry was traded to the Phoenix Suns along with Sam Cassell for former MVP Charles Barkley. Horry had an on-court altercation with coach Danny Ainge, during which Horry threw a towel in Ainge's face.
