Its obvious Rockets want this game more than we do... they came out very aggressive after half-time while we seem to be sleep walking... how many turnovers do we have now in the 3rd?

I think D'Antoni lets Marion chuck 3's because Marions ego is so fragile, perhaps its a trade off?

I am getting so sick of these blown leads. The Suns need to just chuck it into Amare, let him use his speed to get Yao to foul. When Yao is out, the Suns need to worry about stopping this insane perimeter heat the Rockets have going.

Luckily McGrady is only 6-22, otherwise we probably would have been blown out by now...

At least we blew it in the 3rd and not 4th quarter. But blame Antoni for yet another way too late timeout after their run and pulling Amare and not getting the team to feed him in the 3rd.

Nice rebounding effort though, Amare with 15, Thomas with 11 and Marion with 11, Suns 54 Rockets 35.

Amare seems to rebound a lot better than pre-injury.

how is it that our best low-post threat and only guy who gets to the FT line only gets 11 shots in this game?

nice win though - big lead, then no lead, then big lead. I don't know how some of you guys watch this team every night. Every time I think about getting the NBA Package it's games liek this that make me realize I don't need to be at a boiling point every night.

I still don't understand why Shawn Marion shoots 5 3s a game.

Alright guys, I had to check out this stat 10 times to make sure it was accurate, but check out the final rebounding numbers...

Suns 55
Rockets 36

The Rockets have out-rebounded their opponents in all but 4 games this year (including tonight)

When was the last time that the Suns had 3 rebounders in double digits? I cant ever remember seeing that in the box score. (STAT 15, Marion 12, KT 11)

Barbosa did a very nice job keeping the Suns in the game. For a while, he was the only one doing anything.

Amare stepped up big time. He was very agressive. Gotta love that.

Kurt Thomas is such a smart defender. He shut down Yao in the 4th quarter. He never allowed him to get the ball close to the hoop, and he never allowed him to make a move towards the basket. He made him take fade away turnaround jumpers. Hell of a job. I wish he would stop thinking about taking shots though. At least three times he hesitated and missed all 3. He (same goes for Diaw) needs to just catch the ball and shoot.

Good game. Ugly 3rd quarter but a good game overall.

That's what my gripe was... not only he took fewer shots, he was also taken out when Ming was in foul trouble and could not guard Amare. In the meantime, rest of the Suns were throwing up bricks...

I was not watching so thought maybe Amare was a defensive liability in that Rocket run so was taken out? Was that the case?

After the Suns gave up that huge lead, they did exactly what they needed to do, which was to win this game pulling away.

They need to stop letting teams catch up. It's giving opposing teams confidence in their ability to come back in games. By the time the other team catches up they have the momentum going their way and waaaay more confidence than the Suns. It's cost the Suns too many games already this season.

OT:Utah beat the Spurs 83-75. They're becoming more and more legit with each win.

Several times during that Rockets run, I wanted to post about why coach just wasn't calling the timeout. I thought he was hoping Nash's presence on the floor would take care of things. This is getting ridiculous now -- he really needs to stem opponent runs by taking good timeouts and revaluating the strategy.
BS about that being an interruption to Suns high speed game is just that. when they run up and down the court and blow this bad, it really needs to be stopped with good timeouts.

great to get the win though. again, not pretty overall, but we'll take it.

The Suns again dominated except for 1 quarter. Stoudemire really needs to get the ball a little more when we are struggling. Instead they just shoot until they start making them and that takes a while and allows the other team to catch up. Great rebounding effort though and good D.
