How bad is Chad Williams?

I don't necessarily agree with it being the scouts. The scouts just bring back the info. It is the GM and Head coach who really set the board. I don't know that Chad Williams is a bad pick, but he was a bad third round pick. Haason Reddick probably sticks in this league, but not worth a 1st. Same with Deone Bucannon. Same with Humphries and Nkemdiche. Taking Rodney Gunter isn't terrible, but putting his value in the 4th round is not great. It is the same with Dorian Johnson. Guys fall for a reason, and his reason is one that we didn't value enough or we didn't see it. Both are the problem of the guy setting board.

I agree with this. I think Keim hit early on some picks like Ty Matheiu. The national attention for the pick was unbelievable. I think Keim overrated his odds on picking a needle in the haystick. Keim's biggest flaws, it seems to me, is that he always thinks he's smarter than everyone else, and takes unheard of guys in the middle rounds thinking he's scooped everyone.
It also seems that he's pretty easily duped by rumors that some other team is about to pick the nobody that he's got his eyes on, so they go two rounds too early.

I'm thinking this changes this week. Arians wasn't happy. Personally, I would rather just have the size of Seals-Jones in a Michael Floyd role. I feel the vertical size down the field has been a missing part of our offense.

Each time Seals-Jones caught a TD pass against the Texans I thought it was Gresham due to his size. I hope Ricky continues to give us some hope this year.

Williams played 98 offensive snaps all year as he only appeared in six games and caught just three passes for 31 yards when he was given a chance in the lineup. Williams said that the length of the season and the size of the playbook both worked against him as a rookie.

Agree completely. When I read this, it was a huge red flag to me about his mindset. Why would he go out and seek the advice from a WR that acted like a clown for most of his career when he has one of the best to ever play the game right in front of him in Fitz. To me, this points to this guy flaking out. I hope he proves me wrong this year, given the opportunity.

I saw on predraft NFL Network young guys before the draft have a camp with OchoCinco and he works with alot of young WRs I am sure he was at the camp prior to being a Catfinal, so I wouldn't freak over this

That assumes Fitz was available to do something like that. I don't know if that's the case. Doesn't he do some extensive traveling in the offseason? Maybe he did go to Fitz and Fitz said he was too busy. I don't see it as a red flag without having all the facts.

Fitz traditionally has his "training camp" in Minnesota after OTAs and before training camp. Let's see if CW goes to this one as well. I bet he does.

Saw a older video from last season I believe with Fitz talking to Chris Carter and how Fitz adopted a WR camp after seeing Carter do the like but when questioned about his camp, it seems Fitz does not put that much into it now and his off season has become reserved for what he loves most and that is travel which is his right
