How long have you been a Cardinals football fan?

Since 94-95. I was watching the Cards at 94. Started following them at 95 and bought single game tickets and got hooked.

I started following the Cardinals in 1963. I was 5 yrs old growing up in Syracuse, NY. My Dad is a diehard St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan, so naturally I was also. When I started watching football, I realized there was also a St. Louis Cardinal football team. One look at those beautiful uni's & I was hooked. The NFL was no where near as popular then as it is now. My father was a rabid college football fan, but didn't even follow pro ball. I somehow convinced him to root for the football Cardinals. He was soon hooked & we had some fun times during the 60's, 70's & even the 80's. Leaving St. Louis left a bad taste in his mouth, but he still roots for them. My 22 yr old son is also a diehard Cardinal fan & is a regular on this board (mdcardsfan??)

I think I started following them as a young boy circa 1965 or 1966. As I quickly became obviously passionate about them my mom one day asked me "why do you like them so much for, they never win?"

That is exactly how I started as well. PHX born and raised so I didnt really follow football until they moved here.

Since 1988 although I'm thinking about entering a recovery center to overcome my addiction to the Cardinals. Yes, rehab is what I need.

not a cardinals fan. But i respect the true cardinals fans. It's easy to jump wagons. I have a best friend who is from dallas and is a 49ers fan. I obviously always hated the 49ers because i was tought from birth to cheer for dallas. Well now that the 49ers are struggling my friend is also charger fan. I don't get it. I used to get in fist fights with the guy(when we were kids) because he was so passionate about the 49ers, but i guess he's just a wagon hopper. I've also noticed that there are many cowboys/steelers fans around the country who just happen to be yankees and lakers fans as well.
The cards look like they are headed in the right direction. They have some great young talent in place. Now they've added a coach who has some potential. I know we all want those huge FA splashes, but a SB team is usually built from the ground up with smart FA selections.

Started following the baseball Cardinals in '45 and when the football Cards won in '47, I jumped on the bandwagon. Everybody loves a winner.
