Nick Foles with Mike McCoy would be a good match. McCoy has RPOs built in.

Yes I agree completely; but you see what it cost Washington to get Smith. The ransom will be much higher for Foles. Just for the simple fact he won the Superbowl: I am expecting two 1st rder; I mean what was Kolbs price DRC and a 2nd rder. You see what they paid for Alex Smith; Foles will cost more; but you would get a QB ready to go now; that McCoy could build an offense around

Two #2's?

Not bad if you see the path yet to be taken by the QB leading to a nice, green pasture.

As good as A Smith's stats are, I suspect his road-yet-to-be- taken leads into a solid brick wall.

Pass on the #2's.

Washington paid more than that with Fuller & a #3.

You might be right...but the #15 pick in this year's draft would be tough to turn down.

Keenum is a system QB; He was great due to Shurmer. Cards don't have Shurmer; So not worth it at all and a big NO. I'd much rather have Foles over Keenum
Foles had a great run. But they played to his strengths also. Even Brady admits he's a system guy. All good OC's try to adjust to get the best production they can from their QB.

And Foles will cost. Your saying more than #15 already.

Everyone wants immediate gratification. What if he gets injured. What's your fall back answer? At least with Keenum you can have a 1st rounder learning and waiting.

A bridge with upside. If he hits free agency I would imagine The Cardinals would have some serious interest

Against the same defense,

Foles 38 - 7 Keenum
Foles 41 - 33 Brady

Yeah, Keenum is worth a bag of Chips. Paying more than 12-14 million per year for two years for Keenum is a bad decision.

Comparing one game means nothing, that like saying we beat Jacksonville who should have beat New England, so Blaine Gabbert is better than Tom Brady.

The #Vikings are not expected to franchise tag QB Case Keenum and he’s slated to hit free agency, per sources with knowledge of the team’s thinking. Barring a change of heart, Minnesota joins the fray for a starting QB… and will make these next few weeks fascinating.

Very interesting, I thought they'd retain him. He'll be an interesting name to watch, but I don't think I want him here. I did with Shurmur, but just like my feelings on Nick Foles, I don't trust a guy whose career has been so wildly inconsistent.

Minny just entered the Cousins sweepstakes.
If they get him, that team is going to tear up the league, in my opinion. Minimum of 9 games for him in a dome? With those two WRs and an actual NFL running game? Yikes.

I'll be picking up Treadwell as a sleeper in fantasy if that happens too.

As long as #12 is playing, minnesota vikings are faux contenders

"How Much Should the Cardinals Give For Case Keenum"

TREE FITTY!!

I would give two seconds and $20mil per to Foles before I even considered Keenum I think.
That might be a mistake..true... his suckitude was under the tutelage of Fisher, with whom Foles also sucked... But Keenum reeks of needing to follow Shurmer if he wants to stay successful.
Honestly, when you consider the Giants historic style... it wouldnt be completely off if he were to step in as the heir apparent to Eli. With strong defense and rushing..and his coach calling plays he could be quite successful in new york.

Folks isn't a one year wonder he had a full season where he threw 24 TDs and only 3 INTs.

he's proven he can play

He's proven he can fail miserably, too. Two years of awful play. He didn't even look that great in half of the games he played through the Super Bowl. You're taking a big risk that Foles regresses into what we've seen from him in the past if we do that.

Ultimately I'd be more concerned about Keenum than Foles, but I really hope that's not the decision that we're making this offseason.

I don't think Foles is Cardinal's answer for QB. But which Foles do you like of the two (just for gigs)

The decision should be who they draft and groom ultimately. Then fixing the OL.

I think that there are a few bridge guys in play who'd be great mentors, including Bradford and McCown who should'nt break the bank.

I’m probably cheating here because I believe one of those two are Carson Wentz and the chart is Foles vs. Wentz’s production with the Eagles.

The difference is that Wentz hasn’t played multiple seasons with other teams and looked terrible.

All we have to do is ask ourselves if we’d have wanted Foles to be our starter for $20 million per season back in week 10 of last year. Everyone besides the most staunch U of A fans would have said no.

Agree. Between the trade value that Eagles derive and amount to pay Foles, he is not worth it.

I think Case Keenum fits Steve Wilks' QB criteria, as he is highly competitive and intelligent.

Mitch, would you take him over any of the other free agent qbs (other than Cousins)? I just don't know if he was a one year wonder under Shurmur.
