For the next several months watch ticketmaster as they will most likely release some excellent seats as the date gets closer. They hold back plenty of the best seats for various reasons and if demand doesn't warrant they will release them at a later date. It's really aggravating to see front row seats come up two months after you were only able to buy mediocre tickets.

Yep...I suppose that secret is out these days. I found that out by "just by chance" calling TicketMaster the day of a show and somehow got 2nd row dead center for regular price just two years ago for a Motley Crue concert. Unbelievable!!! lol

eh. I can think of 69 guitarists that are better than Eddie Van Halen.

totally kidding. Please don't hurt me.

DLR looks like he's in fantastic shape. I'm so pissed that I'll probably miss this. :(

EVH sure had his day though!!! One of the best ever! Unbelievably innovative and of course he influenced a couple decades worth of guitarist. EVH had many many years being the King of the Six-String!!!

Me thinks this tour is gonna kill!!! Scott Ian guitarist from Amthrax has been at these rehearsals and says...

ANTHRAX Guitarist Attends VAN HALEN Rehearsal: 'The Kings Are Back!!!!'

ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian has issued the following update:

"I went to see VAN HALEN rehearse last night. They were f***ing amazing (ear-******). Seriously, the hair on my arms was standing up. Dave [Lee Roth] sang great, Eddie [Van Halen] was shredding, Alex [Van Halen] is a f***ing monster and Wolf [Van Halen] was perfect.

Great on bass and hit every high note. The set list was 2 1/2 hours of the best ****. 'I'm The One', 'Atomic Punk', 'Romeo Delight', 'Somebody Get Me A Doctor', 'Mean Street', 'Unchained' and so many more. Do whatever you gotta do to get tix to see this. FINALLY!!!!! A real full-blown arena rock act!!!!! It's like listening to the soundtrack of America since 1978. THE KINGS ARE BACK!!!!!!!"

;) You missed the part where I said I was totally kidding.

I was just referencing that ******** Rolling Stone Magazine article a few years back, "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" or whatever & EVH was #70 on their list. It's still a joke between my ex & me. If we hear some VH, we'll say something like, "Yeah...#70 is about right." or something to that effect.

I love me some EVH. The videos were awesome...my only thought it that what little they showed of Wolfgang looked like he was fairly wooden up there. Hopefully that will improve for him in time, but I'm still pretty bent about Michael Anthony getting screwed over. Oh, well.

Oh gawd...I remember that. Funny, me and the wife say the same joke. :)

Yeah Wolf looks a little stiff. Hopefully 15-20,000 screaming fans get him loosened up. Totally sucks about Mikey, but whatever it takes to keep Eddie "sober" this time around I'm cool with it!!!

What?
My friend said Wolfgang was incredibly good and way better than Anthony ever was. Anyone else think that?

Eddie says that Wolfgang is better than Eddie ever was...granted, you have dad pride, but the interview I heard with him, he was basically astounded himself at how easy it comes for him, and that he would be phenomenal.

Wolfgang was very good on bass guitar. Micheal Anthony is a good bass player, but in Van Halen...it's all about Eddie on lead guitar. A bass player just needs to be able to keep up. lol

Micheal Anthony's stage presence was definitely missed, but in due time Wolfgang will find his way as well. He's only 16.

Great show! Place was packed! I believe the vibe in the crowd was okay, but would've been better 10 years ago. I guess VH fans are just finally getting too old. lol Still a good showing...

wow...that was so bad i couldn't listen to the whole thing. First comment was that they fired whoever was responsible for that & it hasn't been a problem since. I sure as hell hope so. I have no clue how DLR even managed to sing it was so off.

I hope this isn't what they sound like at every show:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ7lS2nEk-0

Can't pay for a roadie to tune the guitar?

Unless Van Halen is playing that tune two clicks faster and a whole step higher pitch than the recorded version, the pre-recorded keyboard sample was ... how do they say it in the music industry? ... #$@#$)(@#$. I'm guessing the sample rate was a little fast. Just a guess.
