Absolutely not I’ll stay with the young guy at this point. Prater isn’t Mr. reliable anymore either. Ryland’s overall percentage is fine. He’s a good young kicker based off what we’ve seen so far.

13/15 and made every extra point. Some teams would kill for this type of performance.

Not saying cut the guy just that I am ready for Prater to be back and start.

Have always said that we should keep both.

I have to say if you watch in slow motion you realize why so many good college kickers flunk out in the NFL. on 3 of his made FG's today the Vikings were a half step from blocking it. 2 from the left side one from inside. In college it's just much less contested, in the NFL every kick is close almost.

Also on the one he made to put us up 6, kudos go Gilligan that was a terrible snap, low and he got it down and we made it. I still wouldn't have kicked it but that could have easily been a miss or a disaster if he doesn't handle the snap.

I just don't get people sometimes. Why complain about Ryland. He's been great.

Why do you want Prater back? How would that improve the Cards?

If you want to complain about FG kicking, watch the OSU kicker pee down his leg against Michigan on Saturday.

I liked Prater too but I agree with most on the board here. Go with the younger guy. If he keeps his head in the game, he will get even better and more reliable. The ball makes a thumping sound you can hear when at the stadium.

As for yesterday, he was probably tired from having to kick so many field goals instead of extra points and lost his focus on one of them.

I think is a good solid kicker who could become great! He is a keeper for sure! The Patriots weren't patient enough to help him with elevating his kicks, which out staff has already helped with.

Nobody is giving 2 roster spots to kickers
100%

Prater will finish the year on IR unless Ryland regresses. Prater is a free agent after this year and the rest of his deal for the year is guaranteed at $4.75 million, so we are paying him either way. Keeping him in IR doesn't matter one way or another for the cap, but is an insurance policy.

We control Ryland through 2026 and his contract next year is $1,000,300.00. That extra $3.8 million could be a decent role player.

Ryland ranks #7 in the league per pff. Prater #9.
Prater is a FA after the season. We still have Ryland on a 4th round rookie deal with the Pats already covered the guaranteed money

This is not a hard choice

Just don't want to see any more missed FGs. Ryland is an awesome talent so far and is the future but Prater is a great kicker as well.
