I, for one, am looking forward to next week.

There is a grieving process to this.

Sunday--Just stunned and speechless, mostly
Monday--Filled with total rage.
Tuesday--Try to ignore the problem
Wednesday--You finally stop cussing when the Cards are brought up
Thursday--Realize there is another game on Sunday
Friday--make ridiculous predictions that the Cards will win
Saturday--brag to all your friends that we will win
Sunday--Be tortured.....repeat for 16 weeks

This is me the week of an away game before a home game:

Sunday- go mow the grass at halftime
Monday- remind everyone on the board that the team is cursed.
Tuesday - review replay so I'll be able to make half way informed posts.
Wednesday - Tell my kids they have to remain Cards fans or they'll be grounded all week.
Thursday - check to see what's on the menu for the tailgate.
Friday - tell all my friends about the great Arizona golf course I'll be playing Saturday.
Saturday - make prediction based soley on 25+ years of Cardinal history.
Sunday - have a few adult beverages and argue with the rest of the tailgaters as to why the Cards always play the same every year.

Sunday away game. Sit with wife and watch team. Hug everytime we score or do something great...Wait a minute.....We haven't hugged that much lately.

Monday explain to everyone who called it wasn't that bad heck they were in it till the fourth quarter.

Tuesday. Start looking at the paper again and understand once again there are worse things going on than a Cardinal lose.

Midweek start talking yourself into feeling like we can win this Sunday after all we are at home.

Thursday....I ask my wife for a hug just because

Friday..Get tailgate together

Saturday..Wait for Sunday

Game day leave home at 8 a.m. put up tent...start to drink so I can get through another close or blow out game. We don't blow out teams so it's understandable that if there is a blow out....we definitly lose. Hope for hugs!

So true...
Okay, I'll reconsider. I grew up with the Chiefs so maybe that will be my saving grace, but I got to draw a line with these Bidwills somewhere damn-it!

The under 10.7 million really bothers me. Honestly...I just learned about that a few weeks ago. I didn't realize we were that far under the cap. I figured we had done all we could to be the best we could in this grand opening new season.

Thanks for trying to talk me off the ledge D-Dogg. I'm sure by Wed. I'll feel better. :)

Heh - it's like we switched! I was raised a Cards fan (in St. Louis), now I'm a Chiefs fan!

While I do believe my beloved Chiefs will win on Sunday ('natch), I don't think it'll be any kind of cakewalk.

Regardless of the outcome of this weekend's game - do us Chiefs fans a favor, please? Beat the bejeezus out of Oakland, will you? THAT should be a piece of cake.

This game sets up a lot better for us than Atlanta did. Having to play a very good Atlanta team right after they got blown out on national TV was less than helpful. This game, you have the Chiefs coming to town, having played a game where they played way better than they actually are. The Cardinals having lost a game where we looked way worse than we actually are. Chiefs aren't quite that good and we aren't quite that bad. I think we have a decent chance in this one.

I really hope the chiefs prepare for the cardinals as if its the superbowl and dont just assume its going to be a win. Cardinals may be hungrier for another win than the chiefs are.

I think you're right.

However, I think the Chiefs will take Arizona as seriously as they took the 49'ers - which was a must-win game for the Chiefs.

Arizona is also an important win as well, if the Chiefs can get it.

I suspect it will be harder than many might believe.

Because of the "unknown" factor regarding Leinart starting...the Cards may have a bit of an advantage. Obviously the Chiefs have never seen him play and can't really game plan on him. He's an unknown at this level. So what will the Chiefs do? They'll throw the kitchen sink at him all day. If Matt's on and the o-line feels responsible for his well-being and they play better than ever...the Cards stand a good chance.

We have a chance! :)

However...reality probably shows up, and we see Warner by the second or third quarters due to an injured Matt Lienart. Yep...same old Cardinals. :bigyawn:

According to Herms press conference. (He aint happy). He is on them he said the CHiefs still have alot of work to do and it was lucky that everything just fell into place against the 49rs. He is focused on this game we must improve. We must play harder. He is not gonna let the team get full of themselves after one win. He is determined to light a fire under our guys. Whats really helpful is that Trent green is on the sidelines and he is calling the plays to Huard.
