I Gotta Say

I am just not excited or really even into the start of the Suns season.. Last year just took so much out of it for me.. From the suspensions then the cheating ref.. I dunno.. Maybe I'll come around here eventually.. Maybe its because the Cards are actually in the playoff race.. I dunno.. Anyone else feel this way?

I think if anything it is because we all dread the regular season. We figure this team will win a lot of games and make the playoffs, but until the playoffs get here we won't know exactly how good this team is.

for me it's all the hype to get the season started just because i love the game, but then the real season doesnt start until the playoffs. so i get hyped because i want the season to start but once it does i just want the playoffs to begin.

this offseason seemed real long to me, maybe it was the cards this year with coach wiz. but i dunno, theres something different about this suns team this year. i know they will win the title. the spurs and mavs dont even scare me this year.

the question is do you watch something mostly with the purpose of an end goal in mind or do you enjoy the process?

i like basketball. period. i'll watch high school ball, don't matter. its the game that's amazing. the finesse, grace, athleticism far outpaces football, which in contrast seems like a barbaric modern-day equivalent of gladiator games.

To be honest I am pretty pumped up, I like the NBA better than the NFL now because replay and fantasy geeks have destroyed the sport, in fact I didn't even turn on my TV yesterday.

Treesquid, I agree, the NFL is a pretty bland product. I'll watch on Sundays if I have nothing to do, but its not like I plan my day to stay at home on Sundays watching...its just...so terribly bland. The current NFL is like watching the NBA in late 90s/early 00's.

Agreed. It all comes down to the playoffs. No one really wants to see the Suns beat the Hornets in the regular season. Only a few games in the regular season are worth watching.
