I'm probably in the tiniest of minorities, but I still think Whis is the right guy for the job. Just need a QB, and returning OL, and he'll get this thing turned around. Yeah, it's been tough, but I think he gets one more season next year and will get the pieces in place.

I'm not sure Bidwill could keep Whis even if he wanted to after the Seattle game. He has to think about selling tickets, and I'm not sure keeping Whis around will do that.

Personally, I think Whis is a good coach who reached for too much power and got burned by it when he couldn't find a legit QB in three years.

I see where you're coming from, but the most frustrating aspect of his tenure for me has not been personnel issues, it's been coaching, or more specifically his inability to adjust in-game. We all know offensive playcalling has been bad outside of Warner, but for me it's opposing coaches constantly figuring him out when he DOES have a good game plan, and then having no real measured response when the opponent does adapt and inevitably catch up.

When Warner was here, we were the best in the 3rd quarter. After he left, it's become the quarter where everyone catches up to us. (or in Jeff Fisher's case, the quarter where he FINALLY realizes it's a good idea to blitz a rookie QB?)

I guess what I'm saying is...Warner for Head Coach??

I would keep Whis. It is the old man Bidwill that shackles every coach we ever had in my opinion and no longer think his son has as much control as I once thought by the recent seasons. At least there is some resemblance of a foundation on the staff which is better than the same plodding front office in a environment of constant musical chairs at the coaching position.

3 years of the crappiest offensive production in the entire NFL. Without the draftpicks that usually come with that level of suckage. Whiz will probably pick another reciever in the first round because Floyd didn't open Larry up enough. He fixes things that aren't the problem, brings in QBs that remind me the 2008 property market. Miller is a goat to take the fall, but it's been the same play call for the last 3 years and Miller wasn't "running" the offense back then. Failure is what this season is, and it's not due to injuries, or not getting who he wanted, or not having enough time to get his QB killing system in place. Failure for 3 years. Going backwards and getting worse, worst loss in franchise history during a 9 game slide. Toast now.

A solid coaching job would identify and attempt to exploit it's teams own strengths and/or the opponents weaknesses. In his time here, I have yet to see evidence that Whiz is capable of the above definition.

I think Whiz is a great coach and will eventually be a head coach elsewhere in the league, but after questions about players giving up on him and fans becoming irate about the offensive production, changes have to occur.

Nature of the business. Ill always be a Whiz advocate, but someone has to go down for change to occur.

Bill Belichick was fired from his first gig in Cleveland. Ken Whisenhunt will probably be let go in Arizona. His next team will be getting a better and wiser head coach IMO.

Our QB situation has reached the point of no return with Whis. And I don't think any of us can take another 6+ game losing streak next year with the same brain-dead offense.

The Eagles don't seem to have a problem getting rid of Reid, who has enjoyed much more success than Whis. The Seahawks didn't keep Holmgren indefinitely because he once brought them to the Super Bowl. It's time for the Cards to move on and get things turned around again.

I agree with your general sentiment. I still believe that Ken Whisenhunt is a good coach. A week ago he faced the question of whether he'd rather fire his friends Grimm and Miller and keep a plum job at a huge salary. This week, after failing to get through to his players in an embarrassing way, he probably has to go.

If he'd been able to give any indication that he was capable of finding a quarterback that wasn't the worst in the NFL--not among the worst in the NFL, but a guy that Blaine Gabbert didn't think was awful--I'd probably be with you. But Whis has shown that he's not creative in finding answers to the quarterback dilemma, and that can't continue for another year.

I just think it's a shame that it's probably really unlikely that we'll hire a guy who is as good as Whis, but who is willing to look further afield for answers.

I have Club Seats which are not cheap. I don't expect the Cards to win every game but I want to see a team that is competitive and entertaining. The offense for the last 3 years has really been terrible and this year is as bad as any that I have ever seen. The team is an embarrassment. Graves & Whisenhunt have had 3 years to fix the problem. Unless you're stuck in a 5-year PSL which you renewed at the end of last year, then you're either paying through the nose up-front to break your contract, or you're renewing anyway. LOL.

From the looks of attendance on the Club Level, it doesn't look like the Cards are particularly concerned with selling tickets up there.

He is not a good coach. A good coach gets more out of his players. Horton took a terrible defense and with basically the same players, created a great defense. Players on the defense got better and there was change to cover up inabilities of certain players, and use the strengths of those players.

Every player on offense has gotten worse, we can't even complete first downs! He is an even worse talent evaluator, I hope we do not have to go through another crappy draft of taking neither players that fill a need or the best available, but a scrappy small school favorite of the coaching staff.

Nope. Horton took a ton of different players and made them a cohesive unit. The only holdovers from Butch Davis to Ray Horton were Dockett, Campbell, Daryl Washington, Paris Lenon, Kerry Rhodes, and Adrian Wilson. He turned over almost half of the defense.

The FO watched him throw a tantrum about Matt, I think they all wanted to see Matt get a shot, Whis threw a power move on them, hammer lock and dumped Matt for DA.

I really don't feel a lot of sympathy for the guy, cause he benched his newest shiniest starter to start this year, the guy he must of signed off on getting.

Whis had a big hand in the hand he's playing right now, and I don't blame management for bailing him out of his own doing.

Jurecki's said multiple times that Whis has full authority over the quartebacks, and the Final 53.

It's hard to say that the guy who fell in love and thought that Marc Bulger was going to be the savior of the 2011 season knows what he's talking about when it comes to QBs.

We should check and make sure that Marc Bulger just didn't change his name to Kevin Kolb. Has anyone seen them in the same room at the same time?

How far below market value did you get them for if you don't mind me asking? As of today with our current roster I am not renewing but with some fresh blood at QB I could be inclined to look around.
