Seeing the pictures of mourners lining the streets of Southport this week for the funeral of nine year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar, one the three little girls killed in the knife attack was just heart-wrenching. Like every parent up and down the country I imagine, I’m struggling to comprehend the loss of those innocent lives cut short. And holding my own children that little bit tighter. I cannot imagine the hell those parents must be in.
