I'm surprised at all the score predictions on here picking the Saints in a blow out. I'm predicting a close game, and it may even come down to which team has the ball last.

We are pretty beat up at the moment. We're starting our 5th / 6th RB. Our receivers have been dropping balls like crazy. I think we had 7 drops last week alone. Our secondary is beat up. We're down one (important) starting corner (Porter), and we just lost a safety & key special teams player for the year (Reis) which hurts because Prioleau and R. Harper are both questionable for the game. We still have no pass rush (A. Brown hasn't recorded a sack.) We're down our starting Will so we had to move our starting Sam there and have a revolving door of very slow LBs at Sam. We aren't forcing turn overs like we did last year. And, the combined record of the teams we've beaten at the moment? 1-10. Oh, we also had to hire a 46 year old kicker off the street because our Superbowl-winning kicker couldn't hit anything all of a sudden.

I expect to see you take away Brees' deep routes with both safeties forcing us to dink & dunk all game long. This increases the chance of us turning the ball over and keeps us out of rhythm. I expect you guys to run a whole bunch and throw to Fitz whenever Greer isn't on him for big plays. I think the score is 21-17, but not sure who has the 21. Good luck!

because lots of people on here like feeling sorry for themselves and secretly miss the old days where they could just complain about everything. Very fair assessment carey, and I also think it will be VERY close

You said 5th and 6th RB??? Be prepared to have a 100 yard rusher this week... Yep, our defense ensures that happens!!

Yeah, if you count Pierre & Reggie as 1 & 2, then we lost PJ Hill and Lionel Hamilton during preseason and they were fighting for the 3rd spot. Ivory was practice squad & Betts was on the street during preseason.

I think we can win. It's just that we've seen such horrible games whenever we've played good teams this year and we're starting a UDFA rookie QB for the first time in his career. Can we win? Yes. But this could easily be a blowout as well.

This, it has happened too many time throughout the years to expect anything else. Just like us letting a back up QB light us up--it is almost a Cardinal tradition.

I hope the Cardinals keep it close but the gap in defensive coaching talent is ridiculous and the gap in QB experience/talent is even greater.

This is simply an asinine statement. The Saints are beat up, but we've proven that backup RBs can run on us at will, Whiz has blind loyalty in Robinson, we're pretty beat up too without 2 of our top 3 receivers, and we have a rookie UDFA QB starting his first game.

People don't want to go back to the old days. This really makes it sound like you're trolling. The reason people are going crazy on the main is because we've become used to being a good team, and we are currently anything but a good team. Stop trolling.

Yes, the Saints have problems, but it will still be very difficult for us to pick up a W in this game.

you obviously haven't seen the Cards play this year. Hurt, struggling teams get healthly real fast against us.

The thing that bothers me the most is that our good players (some probowlers) that we could count on the past few years are playing like crap..if we can't rely on the leaders of this team who can we rely on? Not good....

Recipes for disaster! We will probably finish with 4-5 wins which will be short enough to once again not get the #1 pick & we will once again draft an Olineman higher than he should be :D

No kidding. How anyone could post something like that after the Cards lost 41-7 and 41-10 and are averaging 11 points a game on offense and have given two different backup RBs their career high single game rushing totals is truly asinine.

Because he disagrees with some on this board, it's trolling? C'mon Stout. He has as much right to his opinion as you have to yours.

Another Pollyanna with his head in the sand who doesn't realize it is the old days. 11 points a game on offense and losing by 30 or more every time they play a team with a pulse. Being 2-2 means nothing. The 2002 team started 4-2 and we all know how that turned out. And here we are again starting a bunch of no name WRs because of injuries, have a stud RB not getting the football and with a porous defense. Just like 2002.

Now don't forget I have just as much right to my opinion as he does.

:D

When someone says that people are negative because they actually WANT the bad days to come back, then that is definitely trolling. And the fact that you think we who are so disappointed actually want the old days to come back makes you just as bad.

40, this is uncalled for, uneducated, and downright inflammatory. Do you actually think people want to go back to the bad old days? And you think the troll actually is right in this statement? You just lost just about all respect I had for you with this little post. I knew you were a blind optmist, but I didn't know how much you hated anyone that says one bad word about the team. Now I do. You're just as bad of a troll as he is.
