In a perfect world:

Trade LJ Shelton to TB for thier #2 pick.
Trade Raynoch Thompson & the 3rd round pick we got from NE for Edgerin James.
Trade Anthony Clement to anyone for a 6th round pick.
Resign Boldin to a long term deal.
Resign Hill.
With our 1st pick draft CB Antre Rolle
With out 1st 2nd round pick draft CB Justin Miller
With our 2nd 2nd round pick draft OT Khalif Barnes
With our 3rd round pick draft TE Matt Jones

If we could do above our two deep roster would look like this:

QB Kurt Warner, Josh McCown
RB Edgerin James, Marcel Shipp
FB James Hodgins
WR Anquan Boldin, Lawrence Hamilton
WR Larry Fitzgerald, Bryant Johnson
TE Matt Jones, Eric Edwards
LT Leonard Davis, Alan Rueber
LG Reggie Wells, Rolando Cantu
C Alex Stepanovich, Nick Leckey
RG Jeremy Bridges, ???
RT Oliver Ross, Khalif Barnes

RDE Bertrand Berry, Calvin Pace
LED Chike Okeafor, Peppi Zelner
NT Russel Davis, Wendell Bryant
UT Darnell Docket, Kenny King
SLB Karlos Dansby, LeVar Woods
MLB Gerald Hayes, Orlando Huff
WLB James Darling, Isaac Keys
SS Adrian Wilson, Quentin Harris
FS Robert Griffith, Ifeanya Ohalete
RCB David Macklin, Justin Miller
LCB Renaldo Hill, Antre Rolle

LS Nathan Hodel
K Neil Rackers
P Scott Player
RK/PR Justin Miller

Other then still needing another guard, what holes would we have??? And heck if Khalif Barnes can be a starting RT then mabe move Oliver Ross over to RG and be set there as well.

Heck I can still dream can't I?

I don't understand all of this "move Ross to G" stuff. Especially so we can start a rookie at T. The guy started all last season at RT on team that was 14-2 and ran the hell out of the ball. And, he's not good enough to be our RT? Even though he was our first free agent with a bonus of 3.5mil with a press conference announcing to the world he's the starting RT, our super secret plan is to move him to G?

Ross is a Tackle

and will remain a tackle end of story.....we would draft Scott Young from BYU in the late rounds to aid our Guard hole.

And, by the way, they were 15-1 last year, not 14-2.........even better!

I have to beleive that if anyone was willing to offer a 2nd round pick for LJ, he would have been long gone by now

any first day pick (i.e 3rd rounder) is probably the best the Cards can get for LJ --- probably a fourth

with the cap, it seems teams put a great deal of value on draft choices -- particularly first day ones -- I think about 28 out of 32 teams basically count on their first day selections to come in and start, or at a minimum, contribute significantly-- and a 2nd or 3rd rounder will be alot cheaper than LJ's $3 mm per year price.

Not saying its right, but it is what it is.

I think it is actually a double secret plan. :D

Well I did specify "IF Barnes can be a starting Tackle" then mose Ross, obviously as a rookie you dont expect immediate starter, however if my above plan came to fruition we would loss Clements and Shelton so would need to draft a backup tackle this the Barnes pick.

I want a third for Clement not a sixth! :hulk:

I doubt we can get ANYTHING for Clement before the draft. Maybe after the draft we can get some sort of pick in next year's draft.
