There are very few QB's that have the skill set of Newton. I can't think of a single one that is white.

Young John Elway was quite a rusher as well as passer. He was big and strong in the same way.

That's the closest example I can think of.

I think they might have more contrasted them as they shared the same backfield. (Couldn't resist.)
