I am interested in having a discussion about this.

1. The first question is what type of pg should we even look for. A Nash clone? A Kidd type distrubutor/rebounder/defensive specialist? A KJ scorer/distributor? Just a competent player and find a star to play a different position?

2. Where is the best place to look? Free agency? Trade? Draft?

It seems that there are alot of decent young pg's in this league right now. Some are highly rated but flying under the radar like Brandon Jennings and John Wall. There are others who are clearly available but with some drawbacks like Devin Harris and Rajon Rondo. Certainly Deron Williams will be available this summer.

Well I saw earlier that OKC & Russell Westbrook came to an agreement on an extension... reportedly $80 mil for 5 years. So that's 1 more potential guy off the RFA list for next summer.

CJ Watson would fit the Suns style very well and he does not fit well into the Bulls system. Plus, he only gets about 12 mintues a game, so it only makes sense to move him. I say Grant Hill for Watson straight up. I belive the Bulls have a trade exception to make it work. Then you guys can move Nash for expiring contracts and picks.

Terrible! Watson fits just fine as a backup PG for the Bulls. Just dropped 23.

BTW. Steve Nash is #7 in the nba in adjusted fg percentage (Gortat is #1). That is absolutely unheard of. There is only one other guard in the top 20.

Oh please God no.

Definately :)

A KJ scorer/distributor?
I'll take that....but if he cant defend we'd better have a 2guard with quickness who can.

I'm not in favor of building around a star PG but i dont think having JAG will get you anywhere either. Even your role players must be very good in at least one facet of the game.

Ive said it before and I'll say it again, Steve Nash is the man. Why doesn't he get more credit for being one of the best shooters in the league? He does it year after year. He has had more 50% FG, 40% 3pt, and 90% FT seasons than anyone in history, the only others to do it even one time if I'm not mistaken were Larry Bird and Mark Price. He has proved people wrong his entire career and he just keeps doing it.
