by this I mean what it means to opposing teams. Yes, it is one of the best or probably the best stadium in the country but it needs to put fear in the opponents coming to play...instead of them showing up and going "this sure is a nice stadium". I would rather have them come in and say "damn this place gets loud, these people don't like us, I can't wait to get the hell out of here". I would like to see the team run out on the field to Van Halen's DOA song or anything to make the other team know that they are not welcomed visitors...WE AIM TO BEAT THE HELL OUT OF YOU IN OUR OWN HOUSE!

People show up and say "man, this team gets a ton of money from advertisers".

Sorry to say, this stadium isnt that special and road fans wont feel surrounded by 95% Cardinals fans.

I love the new stadium. It will become the Cards house when the team strings together some wins and other teams dont want to visit.

Thats my one complaint about the stadium and AZ fans in general. They really just arent that loud. Its pathetic when I can be at home and listen to the Seahawks fans and literally feel how loud they are in the open air stadium as compared to when I watch a Cards game in an enclosed dome which should blow their fricken doors off.

I have been to several venues and we just plain and simply arent that loud and rowdy of a crowd. In fact we are damn near docile compared to other places.

Oh well.

it can develop though - seattle used to be a wild place and then the years of losing really drained everything out

5 years ago I went to the stadium opener - i lost my voice yelling at other people to start yelling and they needed a corporate buyout to sell out the game

now the whole environment is just amazing - i was up there this weekend and it gave me chills - the drumline, the 12 flag ceremony, the hawk flying out of the tunnel - just good times

every single defensive play the fans were on their feet and yelling - during offensive plays we sat, caught our breaths and enjoyed the show

night and day difference and it seems to be how it used to be when the kingdome was feared

it just has to become the culture though - no longer do you have people calling security asking you to sit down or stop yelling - no longer do people laugh at fans that are into the game - being a part of the crowd is now the "in" thing to do

just need some wins and the slow change will come - of course you can never be seattle loud ;)

It's "special" in the sense that it's an architectural marvel. I'm just not a fan of indoor football. There's something artificial about watching a game in air conditioning. Of course there's probably something life threatening about watching a game outdoors in the Arizona heat but...

I don't know. Maybe if they had the dome open the day I was there it would have felt a little better.

Slayer in a stadium would rock. War ensemble would fire up the team. I suggest Raining Blood when we make a good defensive play

I still like it when we play Cake "Going the Distance" on kick returns. I requested it through the cardinals office once...two games later they played it!

Reluctantly crouched at the starting line,
Engines pumping and thumping in time.
The green light flashes, the flags go up.
Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.

They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank,
Fuel burning fast on an empty tank.
Reckless and wild, they pour through the turns.
Their prowess is potent and secretly stearn.
As they speed through the finish, the flags go down.
The fans get up and they get out of town.
The arena is empty except for one man,
Still driving and striving as fast as he can.

The sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
And long ago somebody left with the cup.
But he's driving and striving and hugging the turns.
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns.
He's going the distance.
He's going for speed

Strangely it kind of bugs me when a team gets good and suddenly they have "loud" fans. Camera pans at all these fans going crazy and all I can think of is "where were you 5 years ago?" I know, totally cynical.

Right now the Cards have a lot of - going to the Symphony- fans. People who attend the games because of the venue and its the thing to do rather than because of any fierce loyalty to the team.

Once the Cards start winning those fans will change to be more like the fans in the endzone and the place will really rock.

It's just tough for a lot of people to get into pulling for a team that seldom wins. Most people's, guys 20-40 especially, ego won't allow it.

I'll be there with no voice by the 2nd quarter.

The great thing about losing your voice is you can always scream...you just can't talk :)

I find it really hard to believe that any of that music would fire up the team one little bit as a whole. In fact I would be willing to bet that a majority of the players would be thinking "what the heck is this crap"

Just not the right genre overall.
