Exactly. The same with me. When the Cards moved here in 88 I immediately became a Cardinals fan after attending a few games. I was never really a Cowboys fan. Never had any gear, just watched on tv.

I became a Cardinal fan when Conrad Dobler was drafted out of Wyoming in the 5th round of 1972 Draft. Being from Wyoming I was, and still am, a WY Cowboy fan. Note: there was a time when the Cowboys were much better than they are now.
So that probably puts me in the same boat as "Jetstream." I'd be probably be a St. Louis Cardinals fan

Detroit Lions. I think the only reason I liked Detroit before the cards came here was because of Barry Sanders. So to think I would still be a lions fan today after he retired, not sure. I do like who's on their team now, so I think I still would be a fan.

Growing up in AZ you got to watch the Cowboys who nobody in their right mind could cheer for or an AFC west team I loved the Chargers Air Coryell was the greatest show on turf don't believe the Rams hype, but I had to vote for finally be free to marry and have family because that was funny and true at the same time in my case Lol

Exactly. Back in the early days only the Cowboy games were televised in the valley.

It also helped they had some ASU players on their roster to give the valley a connection to the team.

Now I can't stand the Cowboys. :p

Now, if you rephrased this and said the Cardinals did not exist as a franchise, I would be a Chicago Bears fan... Walter Payton would have hooked me with the way he played before they could win :)
