Dude was a beast last night. He probably will change his mind now after getting that national TV exposure like that.

I tend to discount anything a kid says until right before the draft deadline. There's so much pressure on them and so many people pulling them it's just like recruiting they tell people what they want to hear to get them off their backs.

Maualuga physically reminds me of Urlacher he's not as big but the size/speed ratio is very similar. What makes Rey so good is he's just so absolutely intense he just wants to kill someone out there on every play. Which is precisely his problem off the field, his family moved him from Hawaii because he was involved in a gang (per Wikipedia the True Samoan Kings). He got to California and focussed on football. I guess in Hawaii they lived in the area Waipahu that just about every Dog the Bounty Hunter episode features when they go looking for some drug addict so he was apparently living in a pretty notoriously bad place.

He also told Wolf a while back he would apply for an evaluation from the draft advisory board.

Really tough call on paper he's a lock first rounder but you really have to wonder what his background is going to do, when NFL teams start seeing all those past incidents will they still want to pick him that high?

I think Patriots @ #7 would take a chance on him.

It is totally insane that a team like the Patriots works over the entire NFL on and off the field. Having the 7th pick and going undefeated makes me sick and jealous at the same time.

FYI Joe apparently on the Trojan postgame show on FSN, Maualuga said I am definitely 100% coming back to USC.

Even USC fans are skeptical because they know he hasn't seen his NFL draft evaluation yet but he's at least saying he's not coming out.

Who is Chris Long? Seriously...Do you mean Jake Long of Michigan? If so, I'd love to see the Cards draft him and lock him down at LT...then slide Gandy to LG and keep Wells for depth at both tackle and guard spots.

Edit...I just Googled Chris Long, DE of Virginia...Don't know anything about him. Has anyone seen him play?
He is everything a star player's son should be and more. The kid a physical freak and has his father's relentless drive. He will be gone in the top 3, so there is no chance for us.
