I feel with the #10, had we not signed Edge, we would have gone for White or Williams. Now that Edge is here, I think the Cards trade down and pick up some extra picks to sure up the OL and a Safety or CB.

#10 has a value of 1300. Denver has 22 and 29. 780 and 640 respectively. Although their value isn't quite the same, I'd take both 1st for the 10th and draft an OG (Gilles) and OLB (Carpenter) or OT (McNeil). And still have the second to tinker with a safety, RB, QBOF or ILB.

I feel like we have enough marquee, star players, but we need quite a few role players.

I think Green takes someone who can help immediately. That would almost rule out an OL. Perhaps a LB, DB, or a longshot QB of the future. If there is another lineman like Ferguson who could step in from day one he could be a choice.

I'd slobber all over myself if Ferguson is available.

A trade down isn't a bad idea either.

With Pennington Restructured and Ramsey possibly going to NY and Fabini cut, the Jets may go Ferguson. Another is if Brees goes to NO, Fergueson may be their target at 2. No way he slides to 10.

I'm a huge Giles fan. I think he's the most polished guard in this year's draft and is the second/third best Offensive Lineman out of the class.

You are correct, at 10 is too high to pick him..22 or 29 wouldn't be, however I think it should take way more than that to trade down with the Donks.

With free agency still going on strong for probably two more weeks we will wait and see what happens with the other teams as that will effect the picks ahead of us. Regardless we will get a very good player at #10. I'm leaning to Winston Justice at this point as he is a need and still very highly rated. Most draft guru's have him anywhere from #8 to #15.

I would take Lendale over Shipp to be our 3rd RB. But, White is less likely now with this sigining.

It all depends on FA pick ups from here on out. I don't know if it is a possiblility, but I would love to see Mawae in Cardinal Red. If that happens we should go Davis, Defense or Cutler/Young.

I keep wanting to say BPA but I have to add caveats like "unless it's a wr" or "but not a running back now that we have edge."

BPA still seems like the best strategy though. As long as their not reaching for this years guard equivalent of Calvin Pace then I'll be cool.

I buy the strategy with the following caveats/changes:

1. If Ferguson, Young or Hawk were there at #10, I'd keep the pick and draft one of them.

2. I buy the Jean-Gilles pick at #22, but would rather take a chance on Carpenter being around at #41. Marcus McNeal would be a good pickup at #29, but if Mangold were still available, I'd leap on that puppy.

3. I'm hoping that Bullocks might drop to us at #72 (?) and that we might grab either Reggie McNeal, Schockley or Omar Jacobs as our QBOF with our fourth round pick.

Incidently, Dennis has recently said that he felt some of his higher draft choices didn't start more because they weren't given the opportunity (due to the talent in front of them) than because of lack of talent on their part. I keep hearing about our desire to add a starting WLB. What's wrong with Blackstock? And what would be wrong with Mitchell at MLB? (Both may have needed the year of seasoning to learn the system and hone their techniques, but they start nextseason with a year of experience under their belts.

Ryans is a reach at 10 to say the least. One of these guys will be there.

White - not overrated.

1-10 should still probobly be Bush,Leinart,Ferguson,Cutler,Williams,Ngata,Hawk,Justice,Huff

That would leave: Young , White or Davis. Those are 12 elite picks this yr. IMO.

After I think about Blackstock I've changed my mind anyway and would prefer a different position.

One of the QB's in round 4 would be good as long as it isn't Jacobs....he's overrated IMO.

Excellent strategy and points - I agree 100%. Add Lutui and Spencer to the mix at OG.

Davis or Huff would be my choice, both can come in and start immediately.

Good to hear. Unless Lendale has an amazing pro day work out he will not be considered as a BPA if Hawk, VD, or Young are still on the board. We could also have the option to add Huff or either of the top DE's.

We could also add Justice to this list based on his measurables and potential. Many pundits are saying that he could be as good or better then Furgeson in a year or two. IF we all agree that Furgeson would be a no brainer at #10 then Justice may be an option.
