Why is everyone in Bosa’s nuts??? We already have a top 5 DE. How about a stud DT, ILB, or WR instead.
He's the best player, and I think by a good amount. If you end up with the first pick, you take the best player.

Why did we bother taking Fitz the year after we took Boldin and Bryant Johnson? Oh yeah, because he was the best player.

Hard to argue against taking Bosa when you saw what the pass rush did for the Broncos a few years back.

You only trade back if the offer is shockingly good. Don't trade back because you're afraid.

I think you can make an argument for Quinnen Williams over Bosa FOR THE CARDINALS. He arguably improves our pass rush more than Bosa as he would improve our interior rush.

It's still too early to rank prospects by BPA.

And without BPA rankings, it's hard to get a handle on (1) what we'd get for the # 1 pick or (2) from a talent perspective, how deep the plateaus of various pools of talent are or (3) where, if any, undervalued "gems" are buried in each of the projected 7 rounds.

Further - if there are bunches of players rated close enough together to be considered draftable at each Cardinal draft slot (or draft slot
resulting from any projected trade).

Take Bosa & don’t look back. You don’t trade away from elite talent, no matter how bad the overall roster is.

This, take the stud in a defense heavy draft... and use that cap capital to nip and tuck your way to a respectable OL to help out Rosen

I remember his brother holding out for a long time. I didn’t realize that Joey Bosa’s mom said she wished they had pulled an “Eli Manning” when the Chargers drafted him. I hope the younger Bosa isn’t that type of problem if we draft him.

That’s because Dean Spanos is a cheap bum. Bidwill won’t be the same, hopefully.

Agreed. Notice that it was the Chargers who got the Eli treatment and it was the Chargers who Bosa’s mom was worried about. As long as Wilks is fired, this is a nice destination for Bosa. Especially playing alongside Chandler Jones

Met is right about the family attitude. I’m also concerned about durability. His brother’s issue and his own indicate there may be genetic concerns about durability. I think you may see a crazy offer come forward. There will be no shortage of teams after Bosa. Also if a QB shows big in the post-season that could add other suitors like the Falcons. A short drop down, top 5-6 still yeilds a Pro Bowl likely candidate. I also think a double move down could yield a starting O-tackle. Either Little or Williams will likely be there at 10. The Cards should also come away with a starting LB and a decent CB. Their own second pick could bring in a capable WR. Rather than hoping Bosa holds up they could leave round 2 with 4 starters. Add a couple of DLs, an OL and a WR in free agency and you have a playoff contender.

Durability is my main concern too. Could've sworn I read somewhere that his dad was injury prone as well. After seeing some of Keim's first round picks go through injury issues (Cooper, Humphries, Deeche), the last thing I want to see is us waste the #1 pick on a guy who can't stay on the field. Love the upside, but the durability factor scares the hell out of me.

Spot on...

We do not need another part time player. Bosa worries me...

The coach moving forward will factor into a lot of this.

Would the Raiders want to replace Carr? Would the Giants give up the house? Is Herbert that good of a prospect?
