Yup. Dang Hippies are ruining the game of football.
It's silly.
Agreed, but it ought to be his choice.I agree it is silly to have hair like that.

Bah. Hair doesn't matter. It should be personal choice with the responsibility falling on the player. If Polamalu doesn't want to be tackled by his hair then he should cut it.
It's silly. If Polamalu doesn't want to get pulled down by his hair, tuck it under his helmet or jersey and STHU, or cut them dreds.
Your braids are fair game, and I loved seeing him get tackled by them.

So you are Pro Choice then? I dont want to get this thread sent over to the politics board.
This hair is a hazard. It can poke someone in the eye and really injury them. It is no yellow penalty flag thrown at your peepers but it would still do the job.
I wouldn't consider his dreds a hazard. Show me a hair injury.
Its even more silly to tell people they can't have hair like that.
It's not a matter of "can," it's a matter of "should."Why? Corportations, Police departments, The New York Yankees, and many many more all have dress cosde standards and certain policies pertaining to how a persons hair can be. The NFL if they choose can too and I hope they do.
Have you ever been to a barber shop with an 80 year old barber with hands that shake. Hair injuries every day.

The NFL if they choose can too and I hope they don't.
What bearing does a player's hair have on anything to do with football or even being a good role model?

Long hair doesn't need to happen.
Neither does the regulating of long hair. I doubt it does anything to the bottom line, so I don't see the need to change.
It's a safety issue.
