Hey, Graves himself said it's all on him now. So, I'm taking him at his word. He got a serious promotion and raise, so I was glad to see him step up and take responsibility for the team that hits the field.

Enough blaming the coach. We've been doing that for as long as I can remember. Sure, Graves has had his critics. But, it's been the coaches taking the fall.

Thats fine if he wants to take the blame, but you can not tell me that Whis had his mouth shut and Graves was making the picks with no say so.

If everyone here copies their posts on how unhappy they were when Graves picked Buster Davis then I can understand. But to call him a "Steal" and he is gonna be the "Boldin of defense" and then when he gets cut its..."Stupid Graves" come on now.

None of us are getting paid to get it right. It's just yakking on a message board for the fun of it.

Also do you think that Whis had NOTHING to do with Buster being drafted?

I dont think that can be used as an excuse anymore. Graves is the GM, period. Anything bad that happens be it coach or player it is his responsibility. Thats just the way it is being a GM. Same with being a CEO, QB, and so on. Right or wrong thats the way it works.

I don't think Whis had his mouth shut. I'm sure he liked Davis. The buck still stops with Graves, because he said so. Besides, he hired Whisenhunt.

That was a pretty crazy over the top thread in the first place.

Believe it or not, I agree. Regardless of what happened this is on RG's back. I like the fact that he accepted responsibility for it and allowed Whiz to make this cut. Shows real character on his part.

I just find it funny how quick everyone is to turn their back on players coaches etc. A couple mistakes and they really get it. Graves drafted him because scouting thought he would be good, I didnt read alot of articles saying he wouldnt be. So he didnt turn out to be good in 4 pre-season games and now Graves is such an idiot. Its just funny to me now, Im not going to try to defend anyone on here anymore, its completely worthless. Like how some people tell Scott Player "Good Riddence" after he stuck with this POS team for so long, our only pro-bowler some years.. Oh well. What can I do.

So does winning with class. Still makes you a loser. Rod Graves once again screwed the pooch. Sure, he had help screwing this one up, but what has he said? Send all the responsibility, good or bad, his way? No problemo, Rod.

I know, huh! Because every other GM in the NFL picks a player in the 3rd round that they cut before the regular season

But it really doesnt matter coming from anyone here because we are just here yakking it up. Me or you, we are not professionals and we do not make the choice if Graves is our GM or not so at this point who really gives a ****

Um, because we're fans, and we're tired of the incompetence that is Graves? If that isn't a good enough answer for you, then yak it up even further...and I'll keep posting. Don't jump on my case. You're obviously overly emotional right now. Chill out. Our GM made a horrendous move and people are upset. Relax.

Well it's obvious he did accept the responsibility or he wouldn't have let Whiz cut Davis. He knew it would be an unpopular move, but if it benefited the team and what Whiz is trying to do, he was willing to take that on his shoulders and accept the blame.

Sounds like a pretty decent guy to me.

that great and all, and he does seem like a pretty decent guy... who absolutely sucks doing his job.

What's that saying about nice guys? Oh yeah, they're usually still better than the Cardinals.

Our GM drafted a player who was rated to be a good LB in the NFL. Its not like he picked Helen Fing Keller. But if everyone wants to keep Graves bashing thats fine with me. I have no problem pointing out when mistakes are made, but I also like to point out the good things he has done for this orginization.. guess Im the only one.

100% I think you're missing my point. I am upset that we wasted a first day pick. Sure Buster was rated high, however if we went BPA he probably would not have been my pick. I was upset with this draft. The fact we traded up to get a DT when Clancy, and Dockett were on the roster when we needed a CB, TE and LB.

I was upset we traded away our 4th round pick. If we stood pat we could have had Zach Miller, or someone else that could have made an impact. But what happened we lost our 4th, and 6th round pick and now essentially our 3rd round pick. It was a waste. Everyone knew Buster was undersized, he may have worked for a team with the time and patience for a project. How many more freaking projects is this team going to take on?

I never called Buster the Boldin on D or a steal although I was hign on him. I think he should have been given more than a training camp and four preseason games to be given a chance. You want to send a message cut the first round 8th overall pick salary cap leech that is Antrel Rolle then I'd be freaking impressed.

All I am saying is that our picks could have been utilized MUCH better than what they were and if you recall my posts back on draft weekend I was not too happy. I came around on Graves by Sunday but cutting your third round pick, trading your fourth rounder and a 6th rounder for a guy who also got cut is pure crap.

I love my Cards. I always will but how many times can we watch the same train wreck over and over?

Graves has harmed this organization far more than he has helped it.

I see what you are saying. I just get tired or constatnly reading negative threads. Thats all I tend to see here lately. The Cardinals feel like family to me so my first instinct is to defend them and point out the good things as well as the bad. Didnt mean to come off as an ***** to you or Stout.

All I can say is, it's downright embarrassing to have to cut a 3rd round pick in the preseason. Sad. When draft picks are as valuable as they are, this is a MAJOR waste.

And if he ends up on some other team and turns out to be a stud LB, well... GRRRRRR....

That said, looks like plenty of LB's are being released. Who looks good?
