Yep, he's pissed alright. He doesn't like big guys flopping.

Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News: "Suns center Shaquille O'Neal won't be adjusting his style of play in hopes of avoiding the early foul trouble that limited him to 30 minutes and 20 seconds in Saturday's double-overtime Game 1 of the Spurs-Suns Western Conference first-round series. 'I ain't changing nothing,' O'Neal said Sunday morning. 'I've got 700 days left (on his contract), and I ain't changing a (expletive) thing. Screw that. I got four (rings) doing it my way, and I'm going to continue doing it my way.' O'Neal was still angry Sunday that he had been called for three offensive fouls on what he said were 'flops' by Spurs players. He praised the physical inside play of Spurs power forward Tim Duncan, then promised he would not resort to flopping in hopes of drawing fouls on the Spurs' star."

The actress admits it's tough watching her husband play for the San Antonio Spurs - because she never knows when he's really hurt, and when he's acting. She says, "Sometimes he acts to get the flagrant foul or, to sell the foul more, he'll throw himself on the floor and really play it up more than what it is. "I really don't know what the difference is so I'm like, 'Stop laying on the ground if you're not hurt. Just get up!' He's like, 'Honey, I have to stay on the ground sometimes.'

Eva knows the score.

Parker might be a better actor than EL.

TP > EL when acting.

i get sick of his driving to the basket, and flying/falling down on the baseline.

Tony Parker must be taking pages from Sam Cassel's book. Cassel pulls that crap all the freakin' time. He gets bumped and rolls around on the floor, seemingly in agony. A minute later, and he's running around fine and dandy, with a demonic grin contorted on that unfortunate face of his.

And yet, with all your crazy foul math, on our home floor, where as the norm, the home team gets most of the calls in their favor, your Suns finished with 3 less total fouls and 7 more Free Throw attempts!
! :biglaugh:

With hack a shaq and hack a skinner strategies, you regard the free throw attemps as proof of even treatment? Basically the fouls were fouls that the spurs WANTED to be called on poor FT shooters and they were charged to terrible bench players. However the suns 3 most important bigs were all rung up and sat down in the first half, making a comeback from a 16 point defecit possible. You use "less than cerebral" logic in a pathetic attempt to prove your point, but what should I expect. You credibility wanes with every post.

i can't believe there is any complaining about officiated after that game - it's insane

i don't buy this shaq is angry crap either - if it's true he is going to be more focused and motived this game then last the guy has issues, because it shouldn't be hard to get up for the first playoff game with your new team against the defending champ and their nemesis - game 1 should be his top gear

I also miss the days when shaq would spout off about breaking peoples faces because they played too physical with him in the post and would foul him so hard - now he's complaining that people are falling off of him

he wants perfect shaq world where he can bowl into people, drive through them to the basket and they put up just enough resistance they get hit with the foul

Yeah who would have ever though the NBA had officiating problems what with game winning shots being made, and steals leading to game winning shots being made from out of bounds. Who woulda thought that academy award actors would be jealous of the talents of NBA flop artists, and players using their off hand to push in the back of the shooter, or ward off the defender on almost every shot attempt in the lane. Who would have thought the dinosaur refs cant keep up with the players of the fastest moving team sport in the world where subjectivity dertermines many of the foul calls. Who would have thought that only one ref could rig games and point spreads(witnesses say he was damn good). Not me, but the problem is those damn cameras, its all on film, KT shouldering parker on an amare screen and getting the foul oin amare. Manu shoving a guy in the back into another player and having the foul called on him. If it werent for those cameras, I'd think just like you.

And yet watching the rockets/Jazz game 2, I looked very close and didnt see much at all in terms of blown calls. Go figure, I guess those teams just play good defense.

^ What he said! You can watch other games and the officiating seems much much better, so what gives in the Suns games? The Spurs just get some ridiculous calls is pretty much what it comes down too, you have to blow them out to win otherwise the refs will make a few calls here and there and whammo Spurs win what a shock.

^ your high if you dont think the officiating made a difference in game one! You think if all their bigs were on the bench for a large chunk of the first half they would have even been in the game? THey would have been blown out by 30

Yeah thats what I said ^. It wasn't stolen by the refs but to say it wasn't a difference maker is just dumb.

Maybe you werent wearing your rose tinted glasses during the rockets game. Did you not see the blown call at the end of the game that cost them the tying shot? Blown calls happen in every game to every team. You guys just seem to dwell on it more, look for them more. It's called focus.

Just let it go. The Suns have never lost a game, they have only had games stolen from them by the refs.

So true!!!! *snicker*

And Shaq has never had a bad game.... same ole same ole. And yet he proclaims hes changing nothing!! He has 4 rings and 720 days left on his contract and wont change. GOOD ATTITUDE!

Part of playing sports is evaluating how the refs/umps are calling the game and making adjustments. With an attitude like above, how can you wonder why the same thing keeps happening over and over?

So, I wondering if the Suns should go on to win the title this year, will all these people complaining EVERY game say they did it with their play and skill or that the refs decided to give it to them this year?

Oh often times I make note of how the Suns didn't so much beat the Lakers as Kobe got selfish and then choked it away...so yeah it's not always credit to the Suns.

No argument here. Iv'e seen Kobe do it many many times. I think he's finally seeing he light though... and that doesn't bode well for the rest of the league.

Shaq is just following Bennidict Arnolds prep the refs 101 class. Nothing more.

No doubt...I'll bet most of the league would rather see Shaq win another ring before seeing one go to that selfish crybaby Bryant...or is that not what you meant?

Benedict Arnold prepped the refs? When was that, right before the Battle of Saratoga?

Funny, without shaq laker fans would be talking about kobes scoring titles not a history of glorious playoff basketball, and if they're old enough about the magic man and his days of glory(he was the greatest, I admit). And PJ would be harnessed with the "only won championships with jordan, he was just along for the ride". Laker fans would be 20 years without a championship, like celtics fans if not for the big fella. Come to think of it pat riley would be in the same boat if not for shaq, a coach that couldnt win it without the magic man. Funny how some fans, -but not all- hate a guy that leaves. Dr J is still revered in NY, after leaving for philly. I'll bet they still love Walton in portland. I can tell you they still love moses and Wilt in phila after they won and left. I guess it take a certain kind of fan to be bitter after a guy wins them THREE championships and leaves.

Even rock bands get tired of each other and break up, but athletes arent allowed to do that. Ill bet the suns fans would LOVE Barkley if he even won one championship and left. I guess its different in LA, says something about the fans doesnt it?

His crying worked and produced results did it not?

And the Benedict Arnold comment was in reference to Shaq calling Phil Jackson just that as he bashed the 2nd of 3 teams and their personell upon wearing out his welcome.

True. I've lived in L.A. for 15 years and this town is all about the front runner, baby. Not just in sports either. Los Angeles is the epitome of "What have you done for me lately?"

It may have produced some kind of result but I don't think it's the one you're thinking of. This attitude speaks to the general perception of L.A. fans by the way. That they will accept any amount of egomania, selfishness, or ignorance as long as they get a winner.

I see. Phil Jackson and his holier-than-thou attitude deserve to be taken down an peg or two. Jackson and Bryant are two peas in a pod as far as that's concerned.

Did Dr J throw his old team under the buss? Did Walton badmouth his? I am appreciative of what Shaq contributed to our championships. Have i ever stated otherwise? I dont like the way he conducts himself. His work ethic is pathetic at best. He could have been the all time greatest center, hes not even top 3. Maybe not even top 5 depending who you poll.

And how do you know the Lakers could not have won without him? Whose to say they couldnt have used the 20 mil a year to get players that would help in that respect. I certainly don't.

And you act like Shaq single handedly won the championships. He didnt win any without Kobe did he? Oh yeah.... Miami. We know who was the key to winning that championshp don't we? Look it up. Apparently, Shaw, Fox, Kobe, Horry, etc etc had nothing to do with the titles.

Yes, a lot of us LA fans do not like Shaq and it's mostly do to his crappy work ethic, his blantant blaming everyone but himself for the bad performances he did have, and the bitter way he left and trashed the entire organization... as he did in Orlando, Miami, and soon to be Phoenix.

But when kobe throws his teammates(bynum) under the bus, its all good cause he's still an LA boy?
