Win, lose...it doesn't matter. Just as long as the team plays fair and gives a hundred percent effort.

Nervous? Heck yeah! Especially since the Cards destroyed GB last time out. I expect the Pack to come much stronger this go-around. Glad I'll be there to add to the din of the home crowd!

Any time the entire season can come down to 60 minutes, I'll be nervous. But my excitement is overwhelming.

I'm also excited but the nerves are out doing my excitement. :bang:

I'm excited. I admit it is hard to shake those old jitters. We're all so embedded in the tragic past of this team, how could we not? But honestly, I'm pretty calm for this one.

The Cardinals are a really good football team. This is the first year where I feel that is totally true. That doesn't mean they wont lose, really good football teams lose all the time. But I feel very confident that we are just flat out better than the Packers and we will be talking about a game on this board next week. It's not going to be as easy as the last game against the Packers. I mean, they basically did everything they could do to play bad and lose that game, but that's not why we won, we won because we're better.

I know they can win, but I'm just nerves of the fluke turnover that could change the game and change the mentality of the players.

The '02 Dbacks were the last time the Phx area was in this situation. And then Gonzo went down. That was a kick in the nuts worse than the SB run. It would have been the equivalent of Fitz getting injured in the Seattle game.

Yeah... I just don't put baseball on the same level... And combine the fact that the D-backs were only in their fifth year AND the fact that they had already reached the pinnacle of anything that team could ever accomplish by winning the most Epic WS ever that for me, Gonzo's injury pales in comparison to the biggest joke in the NFL almost, improbably winning the Super Bowl... And then of course blowing it in excruciating fashion.

But that's just me.

I'm not nervous because whatever happens will happen anyway.

We are not in control here just enjoy the ride.

One thing I will add in though is that as a franchise it's due and also there is something to the idea that what you think creates your reality.

So instead of being nervous let go and just enjoy that way you won't send your nervous vibes into the universe which then responds by thinking you want the Cardinals to screw something up and obliges you.

I'm just kidding with the new age crap :)

I am pretty calm and confident that we will do well Saturday. Anything can happen in one game. But, if we lose it will almost be a fluke outcome. And, there isn't really much you can do to stop those from happening.

I'm starting to just walk around my apartment clapping in anticipation. This is both great and terrible.

But yeah, we're frickin Cardinals fans. Everyone is going to be nervous until that clock hits 0:00. You can see it on the game threads, we can have 40 points but as soon as we give up one TD everyone is like HERE WE GO AGAIN. It comes with the territory of watching us find every conceivable way to lose for 20+ years.

If both teams weren't already going to be giving 100% effort for this game than I would be very surprised. It would be different if we were division rivals and we destroyed them in the first game of the season and they came back with a vengeance in the 2nd, but this is the playoffs where it is win or go home. That tells me both teams should be bringing it no matter what.

If the Cardinals play up to their abilities and execute the game plan then they will win. Yes Green Bay will be somewhat healthier coming in but they just can't match up with the Cardinal receivers and the Cardinals need to be able to run just enough to force Green Bay to respect the run game. 3-5 yd. chunks will provide enough to force Green Bay to play honest on defense. Unless Green Bay goes into max protection mode for Rodgers their Oline will not stand up to the Cardinal defense. If they go max protect then Rodgers will find no one to throw to and the defense will get coverage sacks.

Even Brian Billick doesn't buy what the media is selling that Green Bay is back. What is making a lot of people nervous is the babble the media is spitting out that Rodgers is back and Green Bay has righted the ship. All they have really done is patch a few holes in the boat. The Green Bay ship is not ready to navigate the Red Sea.

Rodgers was 21/36 for 210 yds. and 2 TDs. Not exactly what you would call a breakout game like the media is calling it. You can name 30+ other QBs who had numbers like that in 2015. Cousins threw for 329 yds. and 1 TD against the Green bay defense. Last time I checked Kurt Cousins was no Carson Palmer.

Washington was 25th in pass defense and 25th in run defense, not exactly what you would call a tough test for an offense. The Cardinals on the other hand are 6th against the run and 8th against the pass. Washington best win was over an 8-8 Bills team and they lost to the Dolphins, Jaguars, Cowboys, Falcons and Giants. Washington was way overhyped coming into the game with GB. The Cardinals beat 3 playoff teams, GB, Seattle, and Minnesota.

The only team that is going to beat the Cardinals this Saturday is the Cardinals. Yes, GB will score more points than the first game and it will be a closer game for a longer period of time however in the end there is no reason why the Cardinals should not come out on top. I fully expect the Cardinals to win with a 10+ point margin and if the Cardinal defense can make GB one dimensional on offense early, then it may very well be another blowout like the first game.

4, Cincy.

As to the original question, of course I am nervous as a Cardinal fan for going on 30 years I am not used to success.

Yeah. They are hanging their hats on getting their mojo back against the lowly Redskins, kinda like how they did after beating the Raiders.

Oh, and they did go on the road once upon a time and beat another 13-3 team in Atlanta. So there is that.

And Aaron says all the pressure is on the Cardinals, so that is enough to make up for 30 points from the last game.

The Packers are the Packers. They have history to fall back on when their present situation sucks. And no team has a suckier situation this weekend than the one coming to face a recently-embarrassed Cardinals team.

I don't blame the Pack for being at least a little confident. They have a ton of playoff experience, there's still a small core of guys on that team who won a Super Bowl, a bigger core who almost lmost beat Seattle last year (after getting killed by them earlier in the season) and regardless of the Skins sucking, they probably feel good about putting 35 on the board last week. And they're playing a team that hasn't won a playoff game together.

All that said, we should still win, although not gonna lie, losing depth in the front 7 plus no HB could be a bit of an issue on D. But our offense should have zero problems with their D.

It would just be so nice to get the Cards over the hump after getting so close. To me it's added pressure to get that first one. Especially, for the fans that have stuck with this team through and through.

The packers went from Mccarthy early in the week adamantly advocating that they are NOT THE UNDERDOG, and now Aaron Rodger is adamantly advocating that they are the underdog.

These lame attempts at mind games just show you how much the Packers fear the Cardinals.

My favorite thing about it has been the Cardinals response which has been,,,, NOTHING. :)
