Suns trade:
Howard Eisley

Sonics trade:
Calvin Booth

The trade works out needs for both teams. The Sonics are overloaded at center and would love to get one of their three overpaid centers off the books. Not to metion they drafted Robert Swift, do you think the team is going to have four legitimate centers? (not powerforwards) The Sonics desparatly need a PG, and thats what Howard Eisley is. The Suns need an extra center, and booth would fill that need. The guy is 6'11 and has like a 7'5 wingspan, hes a good blocker, but he hasnt lived up to expectations in Seattle. Both of their salaries match almost exactly (Howard makes a tiny bit more), I dont see why both teams would make this trade.

Whaddya think?

Trading one evil for another evil sound okay. The only problem is that Booth is signed for one more year than Howard. I think that would lead to a no from the Suns.

Booth is the ugliest player in the NBA... Aside from that, I think GP may be headed back to Seattle now that he wants to be traded from LA, or be released. In which case I'm sure the Lakers would take a center or two from them.

Booth is a terrible underachiever. Eisley is a bust as a Sun.

I honestly think the Suns will showcase Eisley during the preseason in hopes of finding some team that has to replace their PG. Right now his stock is so low that he is all but impossible to move without lots of goodies added on.

Overall, Eisley is the better player of the two but the suns need a shot blocking center. If the two are both underachiveing/busts, i dont see how this wouldnt work out... We need an extra center! Booth would be perfect!

This trade also saves us .5 mill this year and 1 mill next year. When Booth gets to his last year of his contract we'll trade him or something. maybe.

I'm not sure ANYONE will take Eisley on his own merits based on how he played with the Suns. In any case, the Sonics may not care for Booth, but Eisley would be their third string PG.

I think George's Pollard suggestion is still the most promising. Pollard was almost useless for Indiana last season, and they are one of the few teams who really could use Eisley's services. I agree, however, that Eisley will have to show some increased effectiveness before anyone is likely to consider trading for him.

It might not happen until the end of camp or early in the season, such as how the Suns got White last year.

Sorry guys. I don't think there's any chance other teams are going to give up centers, even if they suck, for Howard Eiseley.

It seems like a long shot at best. In any case, it never makes sense unless he has the potential of being their #2 PG, which is not the case in Seattle.
