I did hear what the problem was the other evening - they made a real quick reference in passing, and I'm embarrassed to say I don't recall at all - it sort of struck me as "Oh, that's minor - OK" and I dismissed whatever it was. I haven't really listened to whole games the last week, just pop in for updates - been watching the Olympics.

The El Paso guys are really bad about discussing info. They went almost 3 weeks after he stopped playing before making one brief comment about D'Antona, saying he had biceps tendinitis and was likely shut down for the season. Same with Sergio Santos, 3-4 weeks with no comment. They didn't say a thing about the team being sold/moved the first night after it was announced - unless they did in a pregame show.

Carlos Quentin is playing tonight, and has the only rbi in (thus far) an El Paso 1-0 lead over the Arkansas Travelers.

Carlos Quentin just tied the Minor League record for HBP, hit in the batting helmet. Sat him down, but he then got up and trotted to first, reloading the bases. (No question the pitcher is wild.) You have to be extremely impressed by his cool - only one time have I heard them describe him as openly pissed, and that was when he got hit a couple times in one game, plus a near miss, and one was at the head. They said he scowled as he shook his head to clear the cobwebs. LOL. He never says a word to the pitcher or anyone, never makes big macho deal of it. "It's my plate, they think it's their plate - they try to take it, but I'm not giving it up."

Announcer said "It hurts just to look at Carlos' body."
Hmmm... Probably not, actually.
