Not similar at all. It's like when we drafted Skelton in the sixth so folks talked about his similarities with Brady. Whiz is toast here, either this year or next year because net year will just be a bad repeat against some different teams. Getting worse and worse and it is going to stay that way with these cats picking and coaching the offensive talent.

AirWhizona will be over within a year at the latest, but I hope it's tomorrow.

They are actually very similar all the way to the owners themselves. Now stop watching this movie, it is clouding your judgement.

Marginally
Correct. After looking it up, other than 2 horrendous years of 4-11-1 and 4-12, Lewis has had pretty decent records. But again, the similarities are there as those 2 season were within a 3 year period(like has been the case with Whiz) in which they used 5-6 QB's, including Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jordan Palmer, and TJ O'sullivan.

The guy that played there for 8 seasons in a row? We can't even get a QB to play 8 games in a row. Very different.
.

Lewis has a decent record when he had a talented #1 overall QB. QB gets hurt and they go through garbage at the position and Lewis is 4-11-1 and 4-12. Gets another decent QB in Dalton and makes the playoffs for the 2nd straight year. Sound familiar.

Vaguely. Did it take Lewis 7 tries including trading away a 1st round Pro Bowl cornerback and a 2nd round pick, spend millions on a guy like Kolb only to whiff? If Whiz drafted Dalton he would have benched him after a bad game. Can't compare the two. Don't trust Whiz.

Mike Shanahan sent Kyle Shanahan sent Kyle Shanahan to Baylor to work with RGIII to work with him on running a hybrid Baylor/Washington offense. It paid dividends.

Counter that with Whisenhunt whose philosophy is its my way or you're out. It's even more frustrating when you take into account that Shanahan is reported to be have a huge ego like Whisenhunt. The difference? Shanahan is savvy enough to tailor his offense around his QBs strengths.

I guess we could debate this forever but I think minds are made up. Either way I hope this team turns it around. I have experienced way too many nights like this on this board over the years. Sorry to lose my cool at times. For whatever reason this coach has rubbed me the wrong way for a long time, I just hope they win. I just want to win, whatever it takes, new coach or not.

I am inclined to start over. I doubt the Cardinals will sniff the Playoffs in 2013.

Bidwills aren't smart enough to fire anyone

The Bidwills are not smart enough to do the right thing. Now you may ask what the right thing may be...
1. Fing the right GM to rebuild your team.
a. Hire New GM like the one who built the Bills of the 80's and the
Colts of the late 90's & 2000's
b. fire Ron Graves for putting this franchise in the grave.
2. Hire the right Head Coach and assistant offensive Coaches.
a. Horton our current defensive coordinator, keep his current staff.
b. Former OC Haliey would also be fine..
c. Fire Whiz, Grimm, Miller and the rest of his staff.
3. Fire the whole scouting staff.
a. Hire back Denny Green as VP of Player Personnel, and head of
Scouting.

He caused Carson Palmer to demand a trade to Oakland or he would retire. To Oakland, the worst run franchise in over the last 10 years. The team that is drafting via the lady below.

This is not even close to being true. He demanded a trade or he would retire, which he did. Then Oakland called and inquired about his services, and then he came out of his self imposed retirement.

I think he is here on 1-1-13 because the FO won't move that fast.....

At first I thought you were posting the Cards record over the last 15 games

So he still had to ok the trade, so he still choose Oakland over the Bangles, so how is not even true?

What do you guys think about Kyle Shanahan as a head coaching candidate? He is the offensive coordinator for a team that has looked good with both of their rookie QBs this year and he has learned from his father Mike Shanahan. It would certainly be a gamble and I don't know if he is even ready for that much responsibility, but it really could be a good change of pace to a guy like Whiz. Also he shows willingness to adjust his offense to his personnel.

i think whiz shot himself in the foot with the QB nightmare. he only has himself to blame and he has lost the players too imho.

He shot himself in the foot with more than that. His biggest downfall was not giving any love to the offensive line for so long. He tried to patchwork things and you simply cannot do that. After he drafted Levi in 2007, he really didn't address the line in the draft until this year. With a decent offensive line, you don't need a Tom Brady to make the playoffs.

In a van...down by the river.
I voted that he stays...but whomever is in charge of the drafts should be **********. Graves?
Ya'll had a SB team with a few holes, and then Warner bolts. You can't just plug n play a Kurt Warner obviously, but what you can do is solidify your OLine so that any QB coming in has a fighting chance to succeed.

Drafting skill positions every year with a shoddy OLine will do nothing for your offense. I dont care who your QB is. Whiz hasn't managed the offensive philosophy with alot of common sense either IMO....but ultimately you cant just replace Warner with sub-par QB's...while drafting rookie RB's,WR's,CB's every year.

I dont particularly think that Whiz handled the QB situation very well, nor do i think that his philosophy on offense since KW left has been very...smart....but he's a good coach.

Its time for new blood in AZ. Fire Graves and bring in a quality GM.
Who? I have no idea
