The preseason game tonight Orlovsky is the 2nd string QB.

So is McCown just not playing tonight or is he really 3rd string. Havent heard anything about his time in Detriot.

Kind of funny to think back to all the "McCown vs. King" debates we had on this board, where they're now both the 3rd string QBs on their respective teams.

I think Orlovsky will be the starter by the end of the season, he really impressed me as a rook last year.

Not saying much. One guy can smell like a burning bag of poo, and the next smell like a normal bag of poo, but that second guy still smell like crap!!

How about all of the McCown vs. Warner debates last season.

Yeah, but Jon Kitna will hold him off. Olovsky has a future as at least a career 2nd stringer, IMO, but he won't beat out Kitna this year;. Not in Mike Martz's offense.

In fact, here's a tip: pick up Kitna in the late rounds of your fantasy draft. He's going to out preform his draft position by a mile.

Watched the Detroit game last night on the NFL Channel just for McCown. Looks like his old self, but he is the 3rd stringer at this point. He went 4 for 7, 54 yards with no INTs or TDs, but he also did his trademark scrambling. In the end, he was 6 yard short of being the team's top rusher, 4 carries for 30 yards, 7.5 average.

And, of course, all of this against the Denver scrubs!!

Let's try to keep the "Josh and Jake bashing" limited. Plummer played well last year. McCown isn't out of the fold yet. Look at KVB and Calvin (also).
You never know. You just never know.
I wish McCown all the best. KVB will have another outstanding year and Pace will get at least 6, probably, 8 sacks this year.
My point? right now is just too early to tell. So, "STEP AWAY FROM THE BASHER TABLE. PUT THE BASHER DOWN"! lol

You're right. It was a fluke he was always injured here.

I don't even know what this means? Constantly injured players are a liability not an asset.

I always loved his motor but the bottom line is he played through injury in a contract year. He was a good player but i would still have Chike over him and no question Berry.

I stated,at the beginning of last year, I would bet money KVB has a good year. Many of you, that believed he was a putz or last years fluke, wouldn't bnet. I asked how many sacks would it take to make you a believer?
KVB is no fluke. He gets 8-10 this year.
I'm hoping with everyone else healthy, Chike has an 8-10 sack year. I know he has the talent.
Fluke,lol, That's good.

You don't? It means that he had some bad luck being injured for so much of his stay in AZ. Last year he shawed what he's capable of, and it wasn't a fluke.

More clear now?

Thank you...!!! You are so right; to many people on this forum are so critical of others that it sometimes makes this forum impossible to sign on to. The negativity is so ramped that new signee's might not want to join this forum which would be a shame.

Jake is Jake, and he did help to get this franchise into the playoffs once in the1st 18 years here. injuries and lack of solid coaching hurt his development, Same may be said of Josh some day. Look he had ore wins here in the last two years than any other QB, we have had.

McCown is a HUGE improvement over Navarre... the ONLY reason that Navarre is still here is because DG drafted him, plain and simple.

I'm scared to death of Navarre. Not enough to want the Clown back....just work hard on getting Leinart into camp this week...and hopefully seeing action by the Bears game.
