Heard it starts strong but goes downhill a little bit then has a pretty good ending. 125 episodes... Yeesh.

Yay or nay?

Take those days and help build a house for a homeless person. TV is the great life eliminator.
Cardinals games, .....,....,... yeah that's it.

Bright side is that there are no episodes being added, so the number of episodes to watch will always go down after you watch one... :)

Alrighty then!

JJ Abrams best work?

JJ Abrams pretty much had zero to do with the show after the pilot. All credit or blame really goes to Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindlehof.

The pilot pissed me off to no end, so I wouldn't say it started strong at all. Then again, I am in the vast minority in not digging Lost, so take that with a grain of salt. I won't say why I didn't dig the pilot--I don't want to spoil anything.

100% yes. The show is still one my favorite of all time. Sure, I would have liked a better ending to it all but still brilliant TV if there ever was any.

In a world of constant disagreement, this is perhaps the most egregious disagreement of all. The 2-part Lost pilot is a top 5 television episode OF ALL TIME. Show may have lost a little bit of steam by season 5, but that pilot was as close to a theatrical movie as you can get. Totally brilliant, whether you like JJ Abrams and/or Cuse and Lindelof.

Totally agree. A pilot episode that made it one of the popular tv shows of all time cannot not in any way be construed as "not strong". It had me hooked from jump.

yeah... even though I thought the show was all downhill after probably one of their best episodes ever (the S3 finale... still blown away by what they did there) and thought the last season was really bad, I don't know how anyone complains about the pilot. It was awesome. One of the best pilots ever.

Without a doubt yes. The first 3 seasons might be the best 3 season run for any TV show in history.

I think I've given out why I hated the pilot, so I'll refrain unless anyone wants me to rehash it. I'm definitely not claiming to be in the majority--or even a large minority--here lol

Used to really enjoy talking to coworkers and friends after an episode aired. Perfect water cooler tv show. And every episode ended on a cliffhanger.

This. There really are so very few shows that people do this. When it happens you know it's something special.

Is there even a show nowadays that is like that? I suppose Game of Thrones and maybe Walking Dead, but that's it.

those are the only two water cooler shows I could think of. I never really hear other shows being discussed.

I was just going to say those two. The guys at my work pretty much talk about those all the time. However, it seems like with all the channels out there now that it definitely is not like it used to be.

I'd say no, there are better options. I thought the show started off great but mostly got by on its promise following the premiere.
