No, I was literally asking a question. I had no idea if anyone ever interviewed Harris or Wilson. I thought there was a good chance no one had, but what I was really saying was if no one had then I wouldn’t consider him either. Either way I’d make him interview for the position. You only let a guy inherit the position if the head guy is retiring and the entire team was successful. You don’t go to succession when the team was a failure.

Didn't have to research it, i remembered when it happened - it was only 11 months ago and it was discussed a fair amount on this board - and it took me 5 seconds to Google "Quentin Harris GM interview".

Just as an inquiry: why was it important enough for you to take time to respond as above when I simply corrected your erroneous memory? Do you think it's good for false statements to go uncorrected?

P.S. Funny, in February I was skeptical that Harris was taken seriously as a GM candidate despite that interview... but your brother had no problem pulling up a bunch of links to support his claim that Harris IS a legit GM candidate "around the league".

Firstly he should not be judged as a nice guy or not. He should be judged, looking at his complete portfolio of work over 4 years as a coach. How someone in their right mind could objectively give him the extension he got is really beyond belief. "If' the ink was still wet on that contract after the first game this year, it should have been burned up. When I heard him say the loss was on himself losing the first game of the year being unprepared, what were supposed to expect for the balance of the year??? Bottom line is one of the two lames who are part of this nightmare by the way, who sat in the suite drinking single malt, are going to be GM? Why? Because any GM worth his salt will not take this job without having complete control over hiring and firing. One of the two keep KK and get a nice big raise too. That is the only way KK should keep his job. Out.

I have unfortunately placed myself in an important position in what I found out quickly was a totally dysfunctional company, run by insecure people in positions they simply weren't qualified for.

You feel so dirtier and more disgusted the longer you linger there. You get to the point you just want to get away and take a long shower to get the stink off. There is absolutely nothing positive you can take from the experience. You only blame yourself for desiring, so much, that position and the money that came with it, while ignoring the lack of proper management and the levels of incompetence you would be subjecting yourself to.

Kliff will surely need some time before he feels clean and wholesome again.

The (wrong) argument is that missing it late is sooo much worse than missing it early, which just misunderstands sports psychology or pretends it doesn't exist. Missing it early crushes the comeback, because what was a realistic expectation of tying the game at the end becomes a monumentally harder proposition requiring two scores.

Making it early does make a real difference--only if you make it. If you can guarantee that result, then sure, it's the better option. I'll try to not utterly demoralize my team early in the comeback, thanks.

I'm late SBF, but as will we! The stench of the KK regime will hang over this organization like a thick fog until we get the right people in place. He's caused us massive embarrassment as fans, so much so that I'm back to having to answer questions on a daily about why I'm a Cardinals fan to total strangers. Goes both ways.
