No way. They might get ahead by 20 but then they'd lose as the Horns scored 31 in the fourth quarter.

BTW: Who drew up WVU's schedule? The guys at Ohio State? We've got Jr.Colleges in Texas that play harder schedules than that.

Yeah they should have scheduled those juggernauts Arkansas State, TCU, UCF and Rice.............. oh wait, those teams were too busy playing Texas.

Those were Texas "exhibition" games. WVU plays teams like that in conference and exceeds the maximum number of games against directional schools by one.

Losing to a team with a direction in its name, unless its the actual name of a state, like West Virginia or North Carolina, removes any right you have to brag about your team.

It's like letting the Rams score over 30% of their entire season total of points against you in one game or getting beat by a team with a 45 year old QB with 3 days on the job or letting a guy named Brandon rush for more yards in one game than he gets in the next 3 combined with over twice as many carries and then claiming your defense has been playing great.

:D

You are living in a fantasy land as facts are facts:

2006 bowl record:
Big East: 5-0
Big 12: 3-5

the current head-to-head, SEC vs Big East football record (through the 2006 season) shows the Big East with a 17-13 (.567) advantage.

BCS game appearances this century:

Big XII 5
Teams currently in the Big East 0

BCS trophies:

Texas 1
Teams currently in the Big East 0

Did South Florida really play Elon?

Even your terminology is flawed. Louisville won a BCS game last year.

And playing the "century" card means you don't have any recent history to support your fantasy. :)

You're right I should have said The Bowl Championship Series Championship game but I didn't because it sounds as dumb as the concept of picking a couple of teams based on a formula and having them play a month or so after the end of the season for a "championship".

Playing the recent history card means that your guys have never won any championships.

But that's enough of this because if we do it any longer we'll get moved to the college football board.

It's fun to skew things with statistics.

Did you know that:

"The Dallas Cowboys have never beaten the Cardinals in a playoff game."

"Since moving to Arizona the Cardinals have never lost in the first round of the playoffs."

"The Cards beat Vince Lombardi's Packers every time they played in the post season."
