In 50+ years of being a fan of the Big Red I can't remember a time where I had less interest in watching a game then today.

It's beyond a feeling of dread. More like surrender. It's hard to get pumped up when you don't have even a false hope of victory. I would love to be wrong and I'm going to watch, as I haven't missed a game since 1994, but it's going to be an early afternoon IMO.

What was the crowning insult? During the Bears game today, one of the comentators opined that Carolina's best chance to get a win this year "...will come in December when they play Arizona..."

Not me, I'm actually really excited to see today's game (which I'll have to watch on a 2 hour delay).

I'm ready to watch only because Max Hall is starting.

Hope I'm wrong but the season may be tough to take around week 10 because I sense this team will have mailed it in.

You must have a very short memory. I've followed this team for almost 50 years also & there have been many, many, many years where the Cardinals had literally NO HOPE of victory. This Cardinals team has talent, whereas most bad Cardinal teams did not. The Cardinals have pieces to the puzzle, they just haven't been placed properly. I'm not calling a victory today, but I wouldn't be surprised if we did win. We'll get better as the season progresses, but whereas Cardinal teams of the past only got worse.

Yes, they have pieces but they don't have them at the most critical positions that win NFL games on a consistant basis...QB, OT & edge pass rusher. :bang: Nuff said!!!

The good thing is, I'm not stressed out about this game at all.

Not me, my stomach has been jumping for 2 hours already...sweaty palms and pits...course I always get that way no matter what

Believe it or not, I left almost all of my anger on the field, so to speak, after the first blowout loss. I realized we just aren't any good and, as volatile as I always used to be when things weren't going well, I just sat back in a distant sort of way and accepted the pasting we took last week. Kind of like I knew it was inevitable and that no amount of screaming or urging would do me any good.

I had the same feeling after the Hall pick. It was 'oh well, here we go'. It's sad that we're so bad that I'm already reduced to that. Oh well.

Maybe you just haven't been a fan long enough yet. Hang in there, you'll get used to it and be ready for any Cardinal Football!!

Yeah but the Cards always lost these type of games.

Well yeah but not recently. The blocked punt for a TD in OT vs Dallas. Dansby's fumble return for a TD vs Green Bay also in OT. Dockett's hit and Rolles fumble return for a TD vs Atlanta and Oakland missing that chip shot FG.
