Price is going UP to $240/ticket next year. That's nearly $500 for the pair. And you can't unload them anymore via ticket agencies, because the price is already so high, no one will pay you near face value, let alone a premium.

Bottom line, unless you're a corporation, you can't afford tix in the lower bowl.

If Sarver won't spend the money, neither will we.

I can only hope that we aren't alone in our decision. I'd love to see Sarver get his just desserts... in the form of plummeting revenues.

You can only sell so many Shaq jerseys. Particularly after the egg he just laid in the last third of the season.

Hopefully this will become a trend and the Suns fans will hurt sarver where it hurts the most, his wallet :)

We need to show him and the organization that we want a championship!

Right, we'll show him. And then when the Suns move to Vegas, we can find another team to root for. Sarver's heart is not in Phoenix, it's wherever the cash is. He is not too worried because he knows there are venues with much more cash available.

with a recently renovated, not-yet-outdated arena, the history, and the fanbase, there is no way the nba would allow the suns to leave, unless stern remains fearful for his life . . . . but facilitating a move might only increase those.

I feel for you. I'm angry about how Seattle has been treated. Maybe the NBA should consider investing some of their profits in a fund to help subsidize the building of new facilities. Tax payers will just not continue to fund it. This keeps franchises moving around to skim the cream off the top.

...I need to find a cheaper sport. Something that I can sit down and watch a game, grab a beer & a hotdog, all for under $20.

...BRING ON BASE-KETBALL!!! ( I think the southpark guys were on to something)

I love the optimism... but that has as much chance of happening as Congress stopping pork barrel spending.

You are right about the outrageous cost of many professional sports.

College sports are generally a good bargain. I also used to like to attend sporting events at my old high school.

Let me get this straight....

Sarvers Suns are top 10 in payroll yet you call him cheap.

THEN

You complain how expensive tickets are but you want every high priced player Sarver will pay for thereby increasing costs across the board.

I think it's more just someone to heap frustration on for some people.

I'm definaltey not a sarver defender, becuase in ways he runs the suns like a business. It's maybe not the best basketball wise, but just from a business sense, he has done well with it.

(For the record, I wish it were more about getting the title that getting profitable)

Then, he made a bold trade to bring in an aging superstar to try to win a championship but he's still cheap?

Its hard to justify rising seat prices when we get kicked out of the playoffs a step quicker than the year before.

So if I do the math.....

$240 for one ticket...and $480 for the pair???

If I take that out for 41 home games, you guys are paying $9,840 per ticket next year? Almost $20,000??? Are you serious?

Seriously... I want you to post back that this is how much you are paying. Cause I want to cuss at just how crazy that is.

May I ask what section, and row you are in. You can keep the seats to yourself if you want. I am really intrigued by this. I had always invisioned growing up, and taking my parents tickets from them one day. Guess I was jaded. They had front row, baseline seats all through the 80's at Veterans Memorial. They gave them up in the mid nineties when they moved down south to the Benson area.

$20,000 for 2 tickets in the lower bowl for the season??? $#!%!!!!!

I got a call today from a Suns/AWA personal entertainment adviser "Jason" (the same number called yesterday but I didn't answer). He wanted to know what he could do to get me to come to a few more games. I told him that I moved to VA. He then asked me a few questions about what I was doing in VA. He concluded by asking me if I knew anyone in the PHX area that might be interested in going to a few more games.

Sadly professional sports is pricing out the average broke bastard who scrapes and skimps to get to 2 maybe 3 games a year. Most times with my home teams, I don't go unless someone's invited me or I win seats. The Phillies aren't so bad, but The Sixers and Flyers especially can get out of control when you factor in the price of concessions and parking.

The total comes to OVER $20k, yes. Not including playoffs. Remember, you have to buy 4 preseason tix, too.

PS, These seats are in the 7th row, at the FT line opposite the visiting bench.

I just checked and the sixers are stil fairly reasonable - i remember back in 2001 & 2002 when they had some good squads I'd occasionaly get my bosses season tickets for a game now and again

these seats were awesome - bench side, right at the halfcourt line, 2nd row of actual seating - these seats were $75 a game per seat - you could hear the coaches, refs, etc - just incredible - just looked up those same seats and they are $100 a seat now for 2008-2009 pricing (checked the suns and those seats go for $195 in 07-08)

I used to be able to find really good tickets in the corner for $65 a piece - well for 2008 - 2009 they are still at that mark - I could get a seat in the first 6 rows there and it would blow away the lexus club seats my company now has (about $100 a piece) - the suns are charing about $130 a ticket on their gameday price for the same seats

you can't touch lower bowl seats for a single game price of under $75 per ticket in phoenix - in philly you can get into the lower bowl for $55

I think owners in pro sports are getting too greedy raising the prices of tickets pretty much every year and I think it's going to eventually come down to Muggum's situation where individuals just can't afford to buy season tickets anymore. Unless corporations buy up all of the season tickets they are eventually going to have to lower prices or have empty seats.

Wow, that is ridiculous. I don't live in Arizona so I have to watch the Suns games on T.V. Even if I did live in Arizona I would still have to watch the games on T.V. because I could never afford season tickets at that price. That is way too expensive.
