Houston is looking for someone to replace the scoring punch missed by McGrady. We need defense on the wing. Why not just swap JR and Artest. We'd also get some cap relief.

Just a thought.

Holy crap. I didn't look at the salaries. Artest only makes 7 million. They'd probably have to throw in to much to make it work.

Why the heck would you want Artest??? :bang:

Wing defense which we're awful at (save Hill). And he hasn't been a problem all year in Houston. Also some cap relief next year. It's a moot point now though. :p

BUMP:
Because he's the best defender we've had here since........since.......since.......nuff said.
He can score, play 3 positions, bring toughness etc. He hasn't been in any trouble for awhile now. I'm not saying Ron Ron has been rehabilitated, but imo maybe he's starting to grow up finally.
He shows no signs of slowing down either....maybe its all those games missed to suspension's:p.
Move JRich and start:
Nash
Barbosa
Artest
Amare
!##Midget Clown##!.
-----------------
Hell while we're at it,trade Shaq and our #14 to Atlanta for Al Horford/Mike Bibby.
Bibby's $15 mill contract comes off the books in July.Horford's at $4 mill.
I'm nuts.

I doubt Rox would want to take another 13 mil sal for the position TMac plays who despite injury is still on their books.

Artest would definately help this teams defense for sure! Not sure houston would go for it though

Houston wouldn't do that, Artest and Yao are a decent duo...they are better with Artest than McGrady

I'd do it if they would, but it really doesn't matter because Artest is an unrestricted free agent after this year. I think the Suns should go after him. If we can get rid of JRich, Hill could play the 2. He also plays well coming off the bench. I also hope the Suns don't re-sign Barnes. He was a super-dud this year. Dudley is solid.

Why would Houston be dumb enough to do this? Not all GMs are as easy to dupe as Kerr was.

Houston would not do it but how could you not want one of the best defenders in the entire NBA on your roster??? Not feasbile but I would do it.

That trade isn't going to happen, despite your logic. It doesn't work cap wise plus neither team is looking to move either player in a deal like that.
