Does that not lead to the suggestion that we trade our top pick for a young, experienced Power Forward who would fit the rest of our roster?
As well as, of course, a separate trade of players for the same description in a Point Guard.
Booker is in his 3rd season. Ayton and Bridges are rookies. We need some mid-career players at the Point and Power Forward starting/finishing positions.
That would be a great foundation for moving up next season!
Yeah. I'm of the mind that...
If we win the #1 pick, take Zion. Use free agency and/or trade capital to bring in the best pg possible.
If we win the #2 pick or Morant falls to us, take him. Use free agency and/or trade capital to bring in the best pf possible and also work to add a solid veteran at pg.
If Zion and Morant are off the board, trade that pick for a good, established point guard and/or power forward. Use other assets to fill the other spot.
