I would rather have Shurmur and Bettcher here.
Not me. Time will tell. I prefer Wilks.

Probably hanging out with the people that had to have Horton as head coach.
Where is Horton btw? I didn't hear him in any HC interview talk. Probably tearing it up as a great DC somewhere right?

Nothing about this in the NYC dailies.
But sounds like a done deal. Best of luck, JB
He is actually not with a team right now.
I wonder if Shurmur would've kept him here...All I can say is thank God we didn’t get Shurmur. Wasn’t wowed by him before, even less impressed with this decision.
I know. I just never got all the love some people were giving him a couple years ago.

I don't think he was a bad coach. I just think with all the tallent he had to work with he SHOULD have had one of the top defenses.Look at the stats his defense had against the top quarterbacks in the league during his time with AZ. It was impressive...........against the run? Not so much tho.
I'm not a Bettcher fan. I felt he put in a game plan and stuck to it no matter what was going on. IMO he never made adjustments. I don't see him as a leader.
Cards are likely to get a DC who never called plays or who called plays for one year. Be careful what you wish for season 27625. Fingers crossed.

Jurecky one hour earlier said
Bettcher is leaning to the Titans....
Buckley and Gambadoro are other 2 always wrong
Somers still be the best in the business
So where are the people that said he wouldn't get another job? He wasn't on the market for long.
Oh and he's fat....

Got that right!Freddie Kitchens signed as Browns AHC/QB coach. Hue Jackson is high on BA's coaches.
Got that right!
That's how they get people in the stands in Cleveland.Smoke on the water on Lake Erie.
I have no real feeling for Bettcher one way or the other. Hard to criticize a guy who had to follow Todd Bowles, since I feel Todd Bowles is a top coach in the NFL.
That being said, I am extremely happy he is gone.
It has been REALLY bothersome to hear all the comparisons between Wilks and Arians.
Arians is gone, retired. I was a big fan of Arians, and his large personality gave him a lot of supporters, but again, Arians is gone.
I do not care who Wilks is like Arians. No one bit. I do want Arians coming around the practice field. I do not want Arians' influence to come into play in any way. And while I understand Arians just retired, I could care less what Arians is doing right now, or the comparisons between the two coaches. Arians is retired, I hope BA is happy, and resting.
Steve Wilks has to be Steve Wilks, and run Steve Wilks' systems. The less coaches from the BA regime the better in my book. The Cardinals hired Wilks to run the show, so let the man run the show.
That is interestingJurecki reporting that Wilkes offered DC job to Betcher, who turned it down.
Good riddance to an average DC. You crying over Amos as well?
