Force? How about you're under contract so it's out of your hands. Maybe they should bring Edge and Q back, make them room together and "force" them to use the 'little girls' room.

Edge needs to realize that his worth has diminished since his days with the Colts. Edge needs to realize that this ruckus he's causing is further diminishing his worth. And Edge needs to realize that he was a few seconds away from becoming a SB champion. The HOF is predicated on team success more than stats Edge, something for you and your "fans" to ponder...

LACardsJoe???????? Come clean your LACardsJoe67 do you really think your fooling anyone.

AS to Edge IMO he can sit until they have a suitable replacement for him.

Any chance the Cards are hoping someone will offer a low round pick? Worth a shot though it prolly won't happen.

The reason they haven't released him yet is that they're not sure they can get an adequate replacement. My guess is that he's traded on draft day after we take a RB on day-1 for a 6th or 7th round pick.

My only concern is all the junk he must be talking about us to guys around the league.
Yeah, but if you've ever heard him speak you know that shouldn't be an issue anyhow. I have a hard time understanding anything he says.:D

Also, what can he really trash the team on, they didn't run him enough for his liking? We aren't gonna be looking for any good FA RBs anyhow, so he can say what he wants. Most players would be excited to be on a contender, playing with the best WR in the game, a HOF quarterback and in such a flattering uni. :D

In the end, I think there is a pretty good chnace he is a Cardinal next year. Highower sucks in pass protection and whatever rook comes in likely wont be much better. With all of the throwing we do, somebody has to pick up the blitz.

For all of you Graves lovers, this would have been a reason to retain JJ and not be stuck with one deal at a time (Warner for this one). If we keep Edge and his 5 mill salary it will be solely for his blocking, when we could have signed JJ for 1/4 of that and gotten a very reliable blocker, screen pass guy AND a kick returner. Smart move RG? Yet another reason we need someone who can multitask as GM. :bang:

I imagine that people around the league "consider the source" when they hear stuff about us.

Hopefully at some point in time we can get to a place, both as a organization and as fans, that we no longer care what "others" think about us. I look at teams like the Steelers, Patriots and the Colts and notice that they do things their way, without worrying about how it's going to be perceived by the media, their fans or the rest of the league.

They have the confidence in their abilities, and it shows in their actions.

Listening this past week to the Colin Cowherd's of the world discussing the Warner situation, I was struck by just how much is not known by the national media about the Cardinals, their history, personnel or fans.

I also realized that that I would rather see Graves be disrespected by the media & fans and yet stay the course, than listen to what these uninformed "experts" have to say and see him cave in to popular opinion.

The mods have done diligence to make sure that they are not one in the same. I'm sure that they have compared IP addresses. This LACardsJoe is welcome. If it really is LACardsJoe67, his true colors will show soon enough. IMO that won't happen.

Geez, I thought these Warner threads would have been laid to rest by now. At least they are on the Main Board, time to focus on Dansby, Wilson, Q, and some FA's guys!

The mods here do a good job of keeping the trolls away. If it's LACardsJoe67, he'll be gone.

There are a few posters on this board that are great fans that get a little too passionate once in a while. If they get too passionate they are given a break. I've been given a break. Then there are the trolls (VomitBoy, Vikesfan). They don't come back. I've been with this board from the start and it's good enough to call home. Once in a while Mom & Dad have to lay down the law but it's for the good of the house. And it's a good house.

I don't think we could get a roll of used toilet paper for him when the entire planet knows we're going to cut him once we find a replacement. Remember, a trade means the new team will be responsible for his 5 million dollar salary in 09. That ain't going to happen.

 Good post. I think with Warner he just caved in to common sense.

No matter how good you set your team up for success in the long run, something every GM has in the back of his mind, you need the key player(s) for the immediate run to sucess if at all possible. Those kinds of players like Warner and his guy Q, spearhead that ascention and are the inspirational leader on the field.

As far as the Steelers , Cowpukes and Patriots, when we enjoy a smidgeon of what they've had the scrutiny will subside/be less critical. It's coming slowly, we have a good thing going here, that was hard fought for in the valley. Hopefully Big Mo, stays in the Cardinal Red corner.

I like this place and have posted here more than there even after they put it back up. I know Joe67 from there and I have never had any trouble with him and find him to be a good poster. I'm just trying to see what is up. It's all good and I'm glad to be here. OK I will stay on topic sorry.

Correct, we need a reliable vet though before the draft. Isn't Mewelde Moore available? Or was it Maurice Morris? I always get those two confused for some reason.

I thought he got thrown off for posting on the P & R board. That shouldn't have anything to do with the Cards board. I always though he was a pretty good poster and never had a problem with him even though we are on opposite ends of the political spectrum.

You're right as far as being ok on this board. Whatever. I just try to keep my nose clean so I can go to whatever board I want.

Thanks!

But it's interesting that you put the Cowboys on your list instead of the Colts, which I had in mine. It's interesting because they are now a team that seems to have lost its mojo, perhaps because they are bending to public sentiment and sports-talk radio. If Jerry Jones was a strong leader, he wouldn't be looking outside the organization for input in making his decisions (like he supposedly did with TO).

I've never been a huge Graves supporter, but in the current situation, his trend is positive and I'm liking him more each day.

I realize that I might be in the minority in this opinion, however. :)

And as far as the other half of this thread goes - As far as I'm concerned, the Cardinal Message Board Universe begins and ends with ASFN.

I'm an Edge backer; always will be. I understand why they haven't cut him, but I wish they would so he can move on. It's got to be horribly frustrating.

I liked the guy but he will just not perform and will be a cancer on the team. Grant him his wish and try and get a RB for Boldin. This frees up money and hopefully gets us a RB. Boldin is a great player but his feeling are hurt and you have to wonder if he will give you full effort. He apparently wants to be a #1 on his team and he never will with Fitz on the team.

*I only included the Cowboys because those are the three orgs. with the most rings. Yeah, they've been listening to the likes of Michael Irvin and such, for the brilliant Al Davis type moves that bring in players like TO and PacDude to push them over the top. TO worked out good for a short while. But if you have the players who put out consistently w/o the drama on and off the field , those are an organizations GOLD.

*Yeah, the trend is taking care of the business of the team.

Too many players forget the sport is about the team and not them. They convieniently forget that even when it isn't THEIR time to get theirs yet. For someone like James who came here supposedly to help the team become legitimate and successful while getting well compensated for jumping in, I have no compassion for him jumping ship RIGHT NOW WHEN HE deems it's his time again. His bonus took into account a 4 year commitment. And he took it. Now there should be no bitching on the tail end of the deal. That's just getting into TO territory, all this bitching. He signed that with no guarantee that the coach had to play him. Paying him what they did, of course it was the only real choice, but still.
Now I just wish for once they did the unprudent thing and drafter AP and cut his butt right then. But they had made a 4yr. commitment, so I understand why they didn't. All H2O under the bridge.

*A big YEAAAAHHHH on the last part.

He does, but waiting that long hurts his chance to be able sign with another team. Post-NFL draft, teams will generally already have the backs they want brought in making the list of potential suitors for his services smaller.
