We had a impressive show at WR with even Floyd and Ginn not dressed to play. While John Brown has been everything we heard so far from camp, Jaron Brown impresses me with his solid hands... kid is clutch :)

Jaron Brown is the only WR, non starter, with any size, I mean of our top seven wideouts. Don't forget, though he's not getting any ink, Brittan Golden led the team in catches, and also returned kicks and punts.

Golden did look good and caught what came his way.

But when he was returning kicks he was holding the ball like a loaf of bread. As soon as other teams see this they will stand him up and strip the ball easily.

A great role player.

What more can you ask of a player that is slotted to be your 4th/5th receiver, and all he does is come in and make 1 or 2 clutch catches a game ?

He is the anti-Jerehme Urban.

Wow I almost forgot about jerehme urban. Ha. Is it possible the cards keep 6 WRs? I am really fond of both the brownies. But I am also digging what I have seen from Powell.

Don't want to be nick picky but I was a little disappointed that Powell did not score, I thought he was suppose to be fast lol

I was really impressed with Jaron's toughness last season.

With the special team play of these guys so far I don't see how they don't keep 6 WR.

Jaron was all kinds of pass interfered with too on that TD catch. Strong catch.

I was pleasantly surprised by his clutch play.

1st through 5th WR is a deep and talented bunch with a combination of strength, speed, leaping ability and good hands. Powell and Golden are fighting for a 6th spot that we may have the luxury of keeping since Starks is a swing player on the Oline. Probably the best WR corp we've ever had, on paper at least. And when you add the fact that we can run Andre out wide as well, OMG.

Will be interesting to see how the battle for the 6th WR comes out. Coaches should give Powell and Golden plenty of playing time to see who stands out.

It will probably come down to ST. Saw Powell out there on coverage units. Golden handling backup KR/PR duties with Ginn out.

WR6 is going to have to carry a heavy load on ST to make the team, IMO.

Palmer has to be loving life right now! Only issue he has now is how Cooper and the rest of the line hold up for him. This is the best overall receiving core in the NFL, IMO.

I'm interested to see Ted Ginn actually play because I'm not sure if he's worthy of the #3 spot. I know he still has pretty good speed (as a rookie he had a 4.28 40yd dash), but he was always a track star with average hands. For his career, he's caught about 52% of the balls thrown his way... obviously that has a lot to do with the throw too. For comparison, Larry has caught 70.5% of the balls he's been targeted on, Floyd is at 55.55% in his young career.

Someone posted on here that Ginn has fumbling problems, but he only has 3 fumbles in his career... all in the 2008 season. 2008 was his best season where he played the most & had the most receptions & yards of his career (56, 790 yds). It's also the only season that he's had over 40 catches, despite playing in 13+ games every season. In 2012 w/ SF, he played in 13 games & only had 2 catches... he must have just played special teams.

It looks like he's been a career #3 or worse... at 29, he's already hit his ceiling. At this point, I'd rather see those chances going to John Brown if he keeps playing like he has in practice & pre-season game#1.

BA has been raving about Ginn's hands in camp.

Giving out #13 is terrible.

Agreed. I know teams have moved on from retiring jerseys, but they should retire #13. Easily a top three Cardinal even though he played only a handful of years with the franchise.

I don't know about retiring it, but there should definitely be a "cooling off" period for #13. There probably should've been one for #81, as well, but Jim Dray needed to wash that bad taste out of all our mouths. :)

Warner probably transcends both St. Louis and Arizona and belongs more to the NFL than any just-less-than-superstar player that I can remember recently.

The only number that should be retired from the Cardinals is 75 and not in a good way.

Although with it on a defensive player it is much less likely to get called for a false start.

I said basically the same thing in another thread, and had my head bitten off lol.

I'm hoping Ginn proves me wrong by having a great year because it'll just make our WR group stronger and make it even harder for opposing defenses. I still want John Brown getting his chance too. Those 2 should split time to keep them both fresh, but John Brown might be hard to keep off the field is he keeps getting open on every play.

Don't worry, even if Gin is on the team, Brown will be getting his chances.
