As a fantasy player, I love Landry. As a real player, he has no role on this team this year... and I wouldn't think so into the future all that much. Let someone else pay through the nose for a slot guy who doesn't consistently find the end zone.

Uh, the Cardinals are paying Fitz big money for the exact same production over the last four years. 388 catches; 4178 yds.; 10.7 avg, and 23 TDs. Landry's numbers are 400 catches; 4038 yds.; 10.2 avg. and 22 TDs. Now I'm not saying the two guys are equal, just pointing out that their stats are quite similar and the QB situation in AZ was a little bit better than in Miami.

Landry was high on lots of teams lists heading into a free agency. The Dolphins know what he brings to the table and obviously didn't want to lose him.

Rumors or fact? I suspect there was little if any competition at that price.

Facts? Very little that gets reported is fact. The facts are Landry is a solid receiver who's never missed a game and it would be reasonable to assume that teams would have him targeted meaning he was getting paid by someone. The Dolphins know what he brings to the table and wanted to lock him up.

How do you watch Landry play and come away saying he doesn't like contact? He's a nasty blocker, possession receiver who's willing and capable of being a return man.

As you said. It is opinion. We both are entitled to ours.

If Larry wasn't Larry, I wouldn't want to pay what we're paying him. The most important thing is that Larry's production comes up in big spots. Landry has been nowhere near as clutch, although we could blame that on his team.

But the value of Fitz to our team goes beyond the statistics. Jarvis has had some character concerns in the organization. Plus Fitz is 34 and Landry is 25... Fitz is being paid for his body of work when he was somehow even more productive - I don't anticipate Jarvis Landry getting much better than the stat lines he's put up.

Again, I like the player, but I'm not willing to pay him as our number one receiver at $16 million per year.

Isn't Mike Tannenbaum the front office guy for the Dolphins the same guy who put the Jets in the Hell they are in? I am guessing he is the one who had the final say on this one.

They both play in the slot... Landry's numbers are just fine. He takes a lot of screens and backfield passes for 10-15 yard RACs. He does his job well. If he were playing on the outside with those numbers, it wouldn't look so good.

Yup, he sucks. Hahahahahaha

Let him sign the tag in Miami this year, and then go get him next year to replace Larry in the slot.

or draft Braxton Berrios in the 5th round for the cost of a rookie contract. Let's see what Danny Amnedola, the quintessential slot receiver gets since he is a free agent.

I think Omar Ruiz should go back and look at who was throwing the ball to Fitzgerald, and Boldin. Pretty sure, Tannehill, Cutler, and Moore, trump Jeff Blake, Josh McCown (Bad Version), and John Navarre. Even Kurt Warner (pre-gloves) had his issues back then.

Just saying.

But Landry is a beast, none the less.

That's exactly my point, he plays in the slot so his numbers are what you would expect from a slot receiver.
