Maybe it's already been mentioned elsewhere but I thought it thread worthy that Jason Terry broke his hand. The Suns announcers commented on the matter at least a couple of times tonight. This could have a big impact on Dallas and the playoff race in the Western Conference if he is out for any significant period of time.

Yup The porter suns could slip in the back door now, terry WAS the dallas bench. this might stop savakerr from blowing the team up.

we catch a break.
but
boozer is coming back to the jazz.

and we'll probably end up in the 7th/8th spot, to face
lakers or spurs.

assuming we stay with porter.

I started having some mixed emotions about the Suns while watching the Detroit game. It may change by tomorrow however the thought that the Suns could just coincidentally be in the right place at the right time like the Arizona Cardinals. The Suns have the talent, a gunslinger at PG in Steve Nash and they actually played some periods of tough defense tonight. The defense was a pleasant surprise. I thought the Cardinals sudden ability to stop the run on defense late in the season pushed them to the top. Could something similar happen to the Suns... a sudden cohesion on defense? At least the ability to make some stops.

The Suns have had more than their share of injuries going into and during the playoffs over the years. Maybe it's about time the Suns catch a break.

Getting into the playoffs to take a beating in the first round is hardly something i'd consider a break.

Sometimes teams just come together. I've been particularly frustrated with the Suns this year but this is not to say this team could not gel later in the season especially if the Suns could close out this road trip with wins. Make no mistake, this is a talented Suns team but something has been missing. That's why many fans and even the Suns FO are exploring change. The pieces are there for the Suns to compete at an elite level but it just hasn't happened. Sometimes when expectations are lowered or a team nears bottom they either embrace losing or decide to bond to start winning. I'm hoping for the latter but all that may be swept away if the Suns revert to past behavior.

One way or the other, they better decide soon. The ping pong balls aren't too far away now.

I dont think the suns are the cardinals, but if they can really reduce the turnovers, and get everyone involved, they can beat a number of playoff teams. The encouraging part of the pistons game was the balanced scoring and low turnovers by nash while pretty much running the offense. Turnovers happen when you add new pieces, perhaps its just the pieces need more time. The suns appear to be using JRich better, an encouraging improvement, IMO. I think the team should stand pat until the offseason. Adding a major new piece may just lead to more turnovers and another acclimation period. If they added a shooter for the bench it would be OK, but the way LB is playing I dont see how a backup PG is gonna produce more than him, unless its a felton type talent.

Jason Terry didn't break his hand, he broke his pinky finger on his NON-shooting hand. He'll only be out a couple weeks. I don't think he'll be out that long cause it's his non-shooting hand.

The funny things is, in the grand scheme of things this will NOT be a break, it will be another proverbial foot to the groin of the suns.

An 8th playoff seed is just worthless. Hell, counter-productive.

Watch some team draft a no brainer with a #13-14 draft pick who turns out to be extremely solid.

Wouldn't surprise me at this point, wouldn't surprise me at all.

Agree with that. They had JRich languishing on the 3 point line every freaking game until the last 3.

I loved that dunk off the free throw line in the game. You realize it's the first time that someone on the Suns has done that since Barkley did it in his first game with the Suns?
