Jazz @ Suns Game Thread 1-4-13

The Suns are off to a good start. Mo Williams is out for the Jazz.

Dragic and Scola are playing well.

I expected more from Gortat this season. I can't remember Gortat standing out in a game since I don't know when.

If I keep talking about Gortat I will force him into having a good game. That's the way I roll.

We all expected more from Gortat this season. I was touting him as a future top 5 center not that long ago, now I'm touting him as second best center on the Suns. And Jermaine ain't all that either! O'Neal has played pretty well for us considering but he gives the ball away a couple times a game when he starts to dribble for no reason. He also gets lazy and takes a difficult shot instead of passing it out for a reset or working his way into a better one.

I consider Gortat a finesse center nowadays. He appeared to have a more powerful game when he arrived.

Brown and Beasley on the court at the same time is not a good combination.

The second unit is terrible. In come some of the starters. I think whatever Beasley has... it's catching.

The Suns should play a lineup of Zeller, Johnson, Marshall, Beasley and Morris to highlight their inability to find talent.

Yup. The bench players should be rotated in with the starters.

Maybe that's not a bad back-up unit at all. Considering how much Marshall, Johnson and Zeller are playing per game you just can't know for sure.

If the Suns can't include Beasley in a trade they should buy him out or pay him not to attend Suns games.

It's taken 30 some years to get "it's a small world after all" out of my head. I'm not sure the Casino Arizona song is an improvement but at least it's a change. Bad, bad, bad commercial.

Not a lot of pretty nights between now and the end of February.
